    I have a 2022. We have camped a few times so far and it’s been great. My husband is 6’1 and his head clears the a/c. They only do the ceiling a/c now it is wonderful. It’s great for a single person or a couple. A very simple, no fuss trailer. We tow it with a Ford Edge v6. Prices depend on where you get it. They range from $16,000 to $25,000. We got ours for $15,500. If you want some creature comforts but want to still be camping, this is a great option. I know that there are some that say build quality is not great but you also have to remember what RV’s are. My husband builds them and they are put together quickly but they do still have to go through QC and be compliant with legal codes. They also try to keep weights down. If you are rough on things then it won’t hold up like a house will. Also every time it goes down the road, it’s like being in an earthquake. So remember what it is (and that’s any unit, any brand) and keep up in your maintenance and tow it responsible and you will be just fine.

    We have had the same camper about a year and a half now. (Previously camped in a pop-up so we love having our own indoor plumbing 😀). Perfect size, affordable camper for a retired couple like us. Plenty of storage space. Tows great with our "Suburu Outback" (plus added brake controller and anti-sway bar). Our granddaughter sleeps on the bench beside the bed and enjoys going camping with us.

      @@ltse2641 ours is a 4 cylinder also. Sorry it took me so long to reply. I had to ask my husband how many cylinders. 🤔 Then I forgot to come back and reply until it popped back up again today for some reason. Happy camping! Hope we can get out there a lot sooner this spring than last.🤞

      Hi Dana... Does the rain noise on the aluminum roof at night bother you guys ? Most camper roofs are rubber or fiberglass and this is aluminum....Just curious what the noise would be like in a downpour....Thank You !!

    • @DanaSpaulding
      @DanaSpaulding Před 3 lety

      Sorry, just now seeing your question. Rain noise doesn't seem loud enough to bother us during the day. Can't fairly judge it at night as my husband and I both sleep with CPAP breathing machines for sleep apnea. They kind of are mini "white noise" machines. When it's hot enough to run it, the air conditioner is noisy, but we're used to it.

    There are Pros and Cons to the different Air Conditioners. If you want to go the cheap route, get the kind that is mounted on the side, as new ones can easily be purchased for about $150, but the down side is that having a hole in the side may result in water dripping down the inside of the wall. Having it on the ceiling avoids that, BUT they stick up about 16 inches so you can't store it in the Garage, as it's too high for a Garage Door, and they're very expensive to replace if they get damaged by anything you thought was high enough to get under, such as a Tree Branch. If it was up to me, I'd take the side mounted one, and take it out before each trip, to add some sealant around the edges. Hot Glue Guns are really good for that, as it dries instantly, unlike Silicone that takes 24 hours to fully harden.

    I like what I see in KZ RV,...but can't decide between the 130RB,or 160QB. I'm single,and have tent camped all my life. It's time to upgrade. Would you recommend the 130RB as a first camper for a single guy? I'd probably leave the dinette set up as a bed if I go with the 130RB,.....I cook,and eat outside when camping,....but it IS nice you can still cook inside if weather turns bad(raining).

    • @BeN1295

      I just got back from a week long hunting trip where we boondocked and glad to say it handles mud real well. Two of us handled it well but any more people staying in the camper would be rough. The only issue I've had is the the front window leaking but I seem to have stopped it. During the big freeze here in the south it was the only way we could have a hot shower for a week since the water was off and power was out. I've taken it to Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Georgia. I blew the inverter due to a poor electrician wiring a 30 plug at my home. It was simple enough to replace by myself. I have enjoyed this little beast.

    I hope your trailer is made much better than our 2020 trailer of pretty much the same model. We love the layout, but the quality of workmanship and the materials and mechanical properties suck! I think whoever put our trailer together either couldn't see correctly or didn't have a tape measure or level, or maybe didn't care what kind of quality work they did. We have had to make dozens and dozens of repairs to our trailer. We will keep it and keep paying for it and hopefully with our repairs it will last until it is paid off. If someone purchases a new one of these trailers and has no useful abilities to make repairs, it is going to be very expensive and quite a disappointment for them. My advice, don't purchase a KZ trailer.

      I would think that older ones are built better. I'm looking at,....and wanting,.....an older 2013 to 2015 Sportsmen Classic 14RB. I WOULDN"T buy a brand new unit due to quality control issues no matter the brand! I'm single,and camp alone,....a little camper like the 14RB would work for me. I was looking at pop ups,but decided against those,....too much work setting up and taking down! A nice well cared for pre-owned camper is the way to go,...especially if buying for the FIRST time!
