I took so much on my first tour (which was 460 kms) and I think I have learnt my lesson. Now I am going to be doing a 2 month tour (riding across Australia) so packing properly will be important!

Are you planning to do more touring on the north European coastal plain? I'd like to be riding there myself, but for now have to content myself with other people's video blogs. I'm sure I'd enjoy seeing more of yours. By the way, I have a Sony FDR-x3000 that I've been wanting to give away to somebody who would like it for bicycle vlogging. It has stabilization, but it's not good enough for attaching to the handlebars on any but the smoothest roads. Two years ago when I got my first GoPro, I found the stabilization was so much better that I never used the Sony again. I don't want to bother selling it; I'd prefer to send it to someone who can use it for bicycle vlogging. I was going to offer to give it to an American tourer who lost his in the Gulf of Mexico at the end of his last tour, but he already has a replacement. He prefers the Sony over GoPro because he says it has better audio recording. I think he has a helmet mount and maybe some other mounts, but apparently doesn't attach it to handlebars. The Sony also has better color in low light. For me, the stabilization of GoPro wins out over other factors, but there are a few who prefer the Sony. If you are people who'd prefer Sony over GoPro, I could gather the camera and accessories together and mail them to Poland. (There are two batteries; I presume there is no problem putting them in the mail, but I'd have to check.) Or if you know anyone looking for his/her first action camera for bicycle vlogging, who thinks he/she would prefer Sony over GoPro for their style of vlogging, I'd be glad to send it there, especially if it would help me see more of Poland on CZcams.

      Hi John!
      Thanks for passing by.
We have many Wild drewna to be honest. We have not started another one yet.
For the camera I do not have any action camera nor a mount for the helmet lol.
Why aren't you able to bike tour?
      Eager to hear from you.

@@aminalucid Covid is what has kept us from coming back to Europe. We're in our 70s and aren't so sure about getting sick in another country's health care system. Also, regulations about border crossings seem to keep changing. But I have my folding touring bicycle ready to go! My wife won't ride, and says if I could put her up in a seaside B&B I could go bicycling, but more likely we'd travel by car or other transport, and I'd go on long day rides in the country. We like to do things together, too, especially in places where not much English is spoken. A few years ago we visited northern Germany and Poland on our first-ever trip to continental Europe, to places where our ancestors came from. I've wanted to come back and visit that kind of country by bicycle, but covid has interfered.
Right now snow and ice keep me from riding on the roads where we live; also, I don't handle the cold as well as I used to. But we do get away to places like this: vimeo.com/515815783
It seems I don't have any helmet mounts for the Sony. I do have this chess harness which I'd be glad to send along: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EVIJXCI But I seem to be missing one piece shown in yellow on one of the side illustrations, so it makes me wonder if I ever used it for the Sony. Probably only once. I'll have to look more in my things. I do remember trying a chest harness with one of my GoPros, but didn't like it. It may have been another chest harness I have. I like to go on rides of 40-100 miles, and would not care to wear something like that for long periods, but they can be useful for shorter segments. I don't think it's as easy to use a Sony on a chest harness as a GoPro, because the pivot point and weight distribution of the Sony make it harder to keep level.
