good ones. Here's three personal tales from living in Phoenix decades ago.
1. I drove a motorcycle. I had to dedicate a pair of cowboy boots to that. Because putting my feet down on the blacktop melted the blacktop onto them
I had to bring a separate pair of shoes for indoors, because I was not allowed to wear the yucky boots in the office.
Also had to have a piece of board to set the kickstand on, or it would have squished into the blacktop at the office parking lot.
2. We went to a fancy mansion with a pool, but its surrounding deck was tile. It was too hot to walk on, so we had to wear sandals outside of the pool.
3. I had an old pickup with the gas tank behind the seat, and the filler neck was just behind the driver's side door, at chest height.
I filled up the tank in the early AM, but when the fuel expanded in the heat of the day, it drooled back out of the filler cap, leaving a big puddle in my workplace blacktop lot.
It hot here in Tennessee, my ramp which is cement toasted the bottom of my feet and burnt some plants. Lord bless all the people who helped others in the heatwave ❤
Meanwhile, in the English Midlands, it has been the coldest so-called 'Summer' that I can ever recall. We have had maybe ten days in total where the thermometer has broken 70F and nudged towards 80F. Rainfall above average too.
Everything's on fire here in British Columbia. Give us somma that rain, please. PLEASE.
Western Australia- 'winter' this year has only had a couple of days with the MIN under 10C. Yes this is winter. Mind you I'm at the cool end of the state, my younger brother lives 6 hrs north in a hotter area
The first picture is heartwarming, whereas in reality Erdogan just put out a law to euthanize dangerous strays. This let to a horrible outcome this month. Some monsters took this law as a free for all, torturing strays, beat them to death, stone them, shot them, burn them...the suffering of the strays in Turkey at this moment is unimaginable. There are kind hearted people trying desperately to save the strays. Search them out, donate to help those people rescue those without a voice! Help is needed and Vers appreciated!🙏🙏

Also pretty 'strange' all that have 'sagged' did so in the exact same spot and to the same level. The bend in the poles is also at a completely different height as those that have not sagged. As if they are of a completely different design.

All of this just makes me sad. The heatwaves are man made, and it is insane. I live in Vienna, and the heat is devastating even here. So lucky I got a break with going to Scandinavia. 16-17 degrees. It is starting to cool down now, but it is still too hot. And one can´t do s**t about it.
