Every time I see a new cut of this show, I recognize another actor from The Story of Yanxi Palace. I recognized the actor playing Lu Buwei mostly from his voice then face. He looks very different with hair.
Is this drama good? It got into my recommended list.. and I clicked cos of the Yanxi palace actress thumbnails.

I often get them confused as even names of characters are same in many! clothing changes sometimes. is there a reason for this? they look like they are all filmed in same place in same way too. is is a historical drama series that makes its way through the different emporers?

Yes though this is true they could have just been lightly pulling or holding the rope thing to make it look like she was actually choking. This is acting after all so I'm sure they wouldn't want their actors to be hurt on purpose.
@@xsaturnsatinx244 I just feel the director here has slacked a little. A simple move of wrapping the white cloth from the front of the actress's neck to the back would also make her pain look more believable.
