    Heard them play at Plymouth Folk Club around 84 and bought a copy of Dave Swarbrick & Simon Nicol ‎- Close To The Wind. Great performance, happy days.

    I just can't imagine current mainstream TV playing two folkies singing about girls on the lash. How narrow the exposure to new things has become.

    Bryan, this is spooky. I had this on VHS as well as the Thompsons and Home Service. Must have been off work due to Thatcher's Monetarism. I booked them at the Treetops, Epping, Essex, UK in '84. It was an excellent night and we turned a good profit that night. The PA blew a fuse and ending up with fag paper glowing red.
