Maria I love this! I'm a 57 year old woman who was the wife, mother, and homemaker. Still am and things are great. I put my energy into it happily and backed my husband's career even though I had the same education and capabilities. Back then men were automatically paid more than women and were given better job opportunities. Comparing childcare to my income it simply made the most sense for me to stay home. It allowed us to move around for his work easily which brought promotions and raises. Because of this we have a nice retirement today! But I sometimes regret not flexing my brain and muscles with my own career. And there were times especially in my late 40s and early 50s that I had fear of unexpected life changes and me not having maintained credentials for quality employment. Which wreaked havoc on my self esteem. You have found beautiful solutions to not only help yourself and daughter, but to empower other women to not have to chose between career and staying home.
