This looks like tekken sending a message to street fighter. Anyway, my two favourite games.
They returned Jin back to the character he was in the Tekken 3-5 days! Awesome! Especially after Bloodlines reminded me why I became a huge fan of Jin Kazama to begin with. His heel turn in Tekken 6 always seemed off to me, so to have Tekken 8 return Jin to his original persona makes me feel like an old friend has returned. Welcome back, Jin.

You can punch only on the chest/torso area, you can kick, side kick, push kick and spinning kick or spinning front kick, then clinch and knee strikes.
But no punches or elbowing to the face/head(just like wtf Olympic taekwondo)
The only way to strike the head/face is your Foot/leg

Having Jin in the good guys team and in control of himself again is a great oportunity to use his original theme! Return his Tekken 3 music! Or remix it. It is one of the greatest in the entire series!

His Tekken 3 theme has already been remixed twice (First in Tekken 5 and once again in Tekken Tag 2), but I wouldn't be mad if there was a cross mix between his theme and Kazuyas Tekken 2 theme during their final battle in story mode

I really like how most if not all the Mishima Style moves he performs shows his devil wings, indicating that it's the evil half he's learned to control
or its a gmick of the animation style they are going for. by that ratonale he should also have moves that pull from his angel side.... they dont have those. They also could have stayed away from the split kick Law bs, and trying to bound into rush attacks into the air since they for real after 30 years of trying canrt get juggles or areial combos down. but i digress, the game looksk pretty.

If only pro players and whiny beginner players could see that WINNING in a fighting game isn't everything.
I think he doesn't really have full control, we don't see him firing lasers or flying around like Devil Jin. That's why Kazuya asked him in the story trailer if this was all he could muster from the blood he gave him. Jin is supposed to be a rookie when it comes to using his powers since he's been trying to resist the devil gene, as opposed to Kazuya who indeed has full control since he embraced his devil gene a long time ago.
After being a Jin fan for 20 years I am so proud of this character development. I feel like a proud mother who is rooting for her son ❤
and i feel like a baby brother who gets to finally see him again after a long time!!
He indeed has grown up, you can see his confidence not fueled by hatred anymore , all focused in his one last task.

according to Katsuhiro Harada the character jin kazama was designed from the beginning to be a villain it's pure speculation for me to say that but i think the reason for making him a villain was to make him different from characters like ryu from street fighter but despite that, the tekken story is not very good at developing its characters honestly the problem is not even him being a villain in Tekken 6 but the fact that they did a bad character development which is not just a thing about this guy after all asuka kazama , paul , eddy and many other characters in Tekken are poorly developed but considering that this is a fighting game the priority is not to make a good story.

Kazuya on the other hand was indeed designed to be a villain from the get go and if they made Jin that way too, he would just be a Kazuya clone. I do believe they always intended to make him more "edgy" though as that stupid T6 twist showed, they just failed because like you said, they don't know how to write good character development.

I have always mainly played Jin in Tekken but, I never thought the day would come when we would get the chance to see him in control of the devil gene. I love this so much. I’m buying this game when it releases ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As a Jin main, this is the BEST version of Jin I've seen. From Mishima style to Kazama/Mishima Hybrid Style, Devil Jin, Omen stance in Tag. It's is now a mixture of all these styles in one! I'm so hype to learn his new movelist!!

I find it interesting that both Ryu and Jin seem to have reached a level of mastery around the same time. I also think it's cool that they both don't have a crazy anime style super/rageart. Just a really powerful strike for the most part.
While Jin doesn't have that anime super, Kazuya's is anime af.

I am a diehard Kazuya fan, since Tekken 1. But it’s great to see what they’ve done with Jin. He looks great and incorporating his Devil abilities into his Kazama Style Karate is great, as well as the odd move inspired by his Father. 1:03 for example. Beautiful!

Looks like Jin's Zen 3+4 with altered animation. I will admit it looks like Kazuya's CD3 at first glance, but remember Namco updated all animations for UE5.

I still hate what they did to him in T6. The "I'm only pretending to be the bad guy" thing doesn't even make sense when many innocents died during the war, which is what Jin would never do. T3, 4 and 5 made it clear that Jin is a good person who cares about innocent lives, he's not a "the end justifies the means" type of guy. It's like they gave him the T6 characterization just for the sake of shock value without caring how it could damage his character.

Tekken 3: Mishima Karate + Kazama Martial Arts = Jin before meeting Kazuya and Heihachi's betrayal.
Tekken 4 & 5: Traditional Karate = Jin loathing his bloodline and seeking an end to it.
Tekken 6 & 7: Traditional Karate + cruelty = Jin controlling the Mishima Zaibatsu in an attempt to confront Azazel.
Tekken 8: Traditional Karate + Devil Gene powers = possibly Jin accepting his curse and Jun's return to finally end Kazuya!
People gotta admit Jin Kazama is one of the most developed fighting game characters around, gameplay and story wise!

As someone who has been completely disinterested in Jin ever since his departure from the Mishima/Kazama blend of Tekken 3 and 4, I am super hyped to try him out in Tekken 8!

It's really awesome, to see that Jin is embracing the devil and incorporating into his fighting style, and you can also see that he is also using other Mishima techniques into his arsenal.

Many Kazuya Mishima users in Tekken can perfect Jin's moves because Jin can execute both Kazama and Mishima styles. Jin is the perfect epitome of vengeance after of the death of his master, Heihachi

Jin's reveal trailer had blown out my expectations. He has incorporated his Devil form movesets into his Karate style, new quotes and new grunts! Looks like the Tekken dev team are working very seriously to build this game!

@@shenelljohnson74 I understood the storyline. Grandmother is half-devil, Great Grandfather was possessed by a evil spirit, Missed Heihachi, Got Kazuya, and Got Jin. Jin with the help of his mother Jun, learned how to control all his demons and normality and they became one. Kinda like Ryu from Street Fighter where Akuma knew that there is a evil spirit in him, and he trained himself on how to control and adapt with it, peacefully.

That was one of the most exciting trailers I’ve seen. Jin having mixed Devil Jin moves with his original moves is crazy; luckily he’s able to control his Devil Gene. Heat smash is insane for Jin….this makes me wanna play and learn him all over again.

Jin was always a cool character and I've always wanted to learn him. This makes me want to learn him even more
He's a very hard character to win with. Takes a lot of skill unlike others. Looks cool, but not for casual players.
@@josephmoore9706 Dedication and peak fundamentals needed, especially since nearly all of his moves are useful to a degree (also has some of the best moves in Tekken) and his "Jack-of-all-trades" style means that although his pokes, throws, whiff punishment, and Mishima-style wavedash is very good, it's not fully "better" when compared to the other members of the roster (specifically those who excel at the specific playstyle in question).
Jin is finally merging with his inner Devil, Nero style. Very cool.
This is one of the characters of Tekken 8 that I’m most excited to play with.
This looks and feels great, Jin looks and sounds amazing. It's obvious that every member of the team at Namco is working very hard to deliver a great game. Can't wait for the OST either, looking forward to Ajurika and Rio's work. Ajurika has been delivering hits for Tekken for more than 20 years! He's great!
Low IQ people seem to be very confused about Jins immaculate character development.
Ill explain in very few words.
Tekken 3 and previous years: Jin being a good natured boy, just like his mother. Bowling Pin Gauntlets become legendary. Devil Gene activates. Jin unlearns Mishima-Style Karate. Heihachi is a good man.
Tekken 4, 5: Jin becomes the hooded drip God. Jin struggling to control the evil. Jin defeating Kazuya, Heihachi, and Jinpachi. Jin taking control of the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Tekken 6: Jin decides to amass evil in the world, for the sake of Awakening Azaezel to defeat him in an attempt to end the Devil Gene. Many think Jin is evil. Jin is not, nor has he ever been evil. It takes a very strong will to take on the role of the villain for the secret sake of destroying something truly evil.
Tekken 7: ded RIP my boi 🙏🏾

@@NinjaWorldWarrior16 I don't care if its SF10 Ryu. He's getting stomped on by the Mishima's. Ryu is on some inner zen quest trying to "find himself". The Mishima's out out the conquer the world, while Ryu can barely even conquer his emotions and the "sAtSi nO hAdo".
@@firestonehaku Scale doesn't always equal tangible strength :) Akuma was more than able to hold his own against the Mishima's, and SF6 is years after SF3, where Ryu was stated to have reached the level of his Evil form.
May he lose to Jin? Sure, Jin is very OP, but it's unlikely to be a stomp.

I really like this direction of Jin as a character. He's still emo but he's trying to be a hero. He's using his devil powers to incorporate some of the Misihima moves into his moveset. And his hoodie is better than it was in 7

A theory I have is that Jun transferred her spirit into Jin when Ogre attacked. That can explain why Jin saw Jun in Tekken 4’s ending. She acted as a guardian against the Devil Gene to save him from being corrupted like Kazuya.
So what I’m expecting is to see Jun come out of Jin and then lay the biggest wife smackdown onto Kazuya. Lmao

This has to be the best I’ve seen Jin in such a long time. Since the changes of tekken 5, Jin hasn’t changed as much, but this trailer breathes new life into the character dynamic and the voice lines portray a new outlook and change within Jin’s demeanor. It’s just a beautiful thing as well to see Jin regain Omen stance and to see OTGF is such a heart warming sight…
Jin has to be the only fighting game main character with 3 different movesets over the span of his franchise. His original Mishima-ryu fighting style (Tekken 3, which is now Devil Jin's) his Kazama-ryu fighting style (Tekken 4-7) and now this combined style.
I wonder of that low roundhouse move that is iconic to Jin is still in his moveset here.
