- Oregon Coast Road Trip Highlights: 4 Days from Brookings, OR to Seattle, WA
While the site typically focuses on California, I took a weekend off and went up the Oregon coast all the way to Seattle. This video shows you the highlights of that trip in order from South to North. Be sure to pause a particular section if you want to see where it is. I highly recommend you make this trip as the Oregon and Washington coastlines are absolutely amazing.
Here is the breakdown:
Day 1 - Brookings, OR to Newport, OR
Day 2 - Newport, OR to Astoria, OR
Day 3 - Astoria, OR to Forks, WA
Day 4 - Forks, WA to Seattle

That’s an incredible amount of driving in four days on 101, as it can be slow traveling with RVs, trucks and all the little towns that you have to drive through. I can’t believe you saw all of the things you did, yet you missed so much and will need to go back and slow down, to enjoy the Coast at a slower pace. I can spend days in Yachats alone, just watching the waves crash in the rocks..absolutely spectacular!
This video got me on my feelings. Haha i was born in Oregon but now live in illinois. Everytime i go back to visit Oregon i get goosebumps because i love it soo much i believe my heart is in Oregon
A Blink To Remember 182 mine is as well, I have never been but every time I see it my soul tells me it’s we’re I belong, honestly I can spent hours talking about it
It's really awesome and informative video. You can also visit a video of budget friendly The Red Lion Inn & Suites Deschutes Bend Hotel Oregon, US czcams.com/video/YkpwYEbB1Ao/video.html

@@kendallhayes4917 I was born an lived in Michigan, untill I visited Oregon. One trip to Oregon and it was over for me and living in Michigan.
One needn't ever leave this gorgeous State.
So much Oregon, So little time.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m disabled and find it difficult to reach some of these spots on the beach. Lovely to see from your viewpoint. Beautiful.
No problem, thank you for the comment!
Wow! A photographer’s paradise!
Thanks for putting the names of all the locations, now this is how i'm planning my trip!
And all this beauty is why I'm moving to Oregon!
What do you think of beautiful Oregon my home was born and raised here and I still got family here and lots of nephews and nieces oh yeah but the web did I mention that you construction I've been doing for all my life drywall I work for the family
Driving down the coast of Oregon to the CA redwoods and back up to Crater Lake NP and the Columbia River Gorge was one of my favorite road trips.
That was the trip of a lifetime in four days. It's so beautiful in that corner of the world. Thanks for putting this video together.
I saw that shipwreck on the beach at Fort Stevens/Astoria in 1958 when I was 5. It was a complete ship then, still plated with metal. I have watched it disappear over the years. I'm in better shape for the moment but it will probably outlast me! ; )
My boyfriend is from Oregon (I’m Canadian) videos like this make me sooo excited to visit Oregon and eventually move there when he gets out of the army!
Having just come back from an Oregon road trip myself, I loved seeing this, and now know there's so much more to discover in that great state that we didn't even see. Thank you for making this video and sharing it with the world. I know where I'll be going back to!
No problem, I can't wait to go back as I missed so much on the first trip as well!
I love how you give information on where you go, helps alot of us out , thanks for sharing as always .
Thanks for the comment as always, it's a great road trip for sure!

You seriously saw nearly everything along the coast!! haha well done! I love it!
Such vintage footage! Absolutely breathtaking.
The smirk on your face as you stood next to the cow at the 2:51 mark was worth the whole video, well done.
Awesome video!! We're going this summer and can't wait...really enjoyed this thanks for sharing!
Thanks Josh for taking us along for the ride. Adding this to my bucket-list.
I’ve lived in Oregon for my whole life and still am😂❤️
🤣😂🤣
Wow - you sure captured the feeling of the Oregon Coast!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
The Oregon Coast is the real deal. Some of my favorites as a local: Darlingtonia Wayside (carnivorous plants galore), The top of Cape Perpetua (dizzying view!), the top of dunes in the moonlight/Cleawox lake, digging gaper clams in Charleston, Sunset Bay/Shore Acres park hike, Antiquing in Wheeler, and walking and walking in Astoria (don't miss the Flavel house).
Thanks for sharing. The South Oregon Coast is the most beautiful coast in the west coast of US. Brookings OR is a very nice little town, I lived there for a short while.
Too bad they didn't swing into world renown golf resort Bandon Dunes.
I grew up in OR and WA so what you showed were some of my fav places too. That was one intensely packed 4 day road trip! Thanks for posting. You have given me a lot of good ideas for spots to visit when I’m up there visiting the family next time
Thank you for repping the Oregon and Washington coast, I live in Portland Oregon, and we just LOVE our coast from Brookings to Astoria!!!
The Oregon Coast is absolutely stunning...a must see
How fun! We went in June loved Oregon. Thanks for sharing.
As a regular subscriber I am amazed at how your video and narrative skills have developed in the years since you created this video. Pretty quick dash up the coast but I am sure many viewers find it helpful and informative. Cheers.

Great video! I've lived in Oregon for 3 years and haven't been north of Cape Blanco yet. Apparently I need to take a road trip up the coast soon. There's just so much to see in this state! 💚
Oregon Family Adventures there’s so much to see in any state😍
The westernmost point in the contiguous US and one of the windiest places I’ve ever been! Gotta go!
The bear waving at 6:02 is sooooo cute. Hope y’all had an awesome trip.

Thank you so much for your video it was very informative. I have never been to the West Coast and I’m planning a trip in May. I want to fly into Seattle Washington and camp my way down to San Francisco. I never realize how beautiful Oregon is.
Looks like you guys hit up all the good spots along the way! I love the Oregon Dunes and the Olympic Rainforest! My sister lives in Port Angeles and I lived in Eureka, CA for a little over a year...I miss the coast!
I agree, that area is so amazing! I wish I could spend more time there and see more stuff

Looks like a great trip. On my to do list!
I just came back from Oregon too. It had a storm when we arrive Newport but next day , it was clear and gorgeous.
Love this! We took a road trip down the oregon coast once summer then last summer we did California coast. I always intend to stop and take more pictures, but I get really car sick so all i want to do is just sleep!.. and at the end I always regret not being able to capture these breathtaking shots!
My wife and I went up that Coast in April 2018. We took a lot longer than 4 days though, and saw a lot more than you depicted in your video. Rockaway Beach is a Hidden Gem.
this makes me miss oregon sooo much... lived in brookings last year
Those Taco's look amazing. Mouth watering!
I live in Newport.. been here a year and a half. I hope I never have to leave. This is beyond a dream come true.
Best state in the lower 48 always will be. Great video thank you for sharing it with us
Love the Oregon coast done the drive twice and will do it again wish I could go annually and or own a place there
Wow, the prehistoric gardens look so cool! We definitely need to stop for longer in the Redwoods next time :)
Always so many things to come back for!
We just posted a video on the Oregon Coast, we searched up "Oregon Coast" for more ideas and we came across your video & we love it!
Hike up to Neahkanie Mtn part of Oswald West State Park
THAT'S WHERE TILLAMOOK CHEESE LIVES!!!!!! omg, I have always wanted to visit Oregon bcuz it's so beautiful and diverse but now, now i'm fairly certain I am going to have to move there!!! Live in the same town as the cheese factory!! probably get a job there too!! Thanks for such a lovely video and posting it for all of us!
Lisle Michelle i love tillomook cheese i am from Oregon but now live in Florida and they don't have it here
They started selling it in South Carolina so keep an eye out for it :)
Great post! Great spots. Born and raised PNW coast line and y'all need to hit Oregon and Washington again and do it in a week. Cuz you only showed maybe 10% of its beauty lol great job.
I spent a week in Bandon at one of the beach houses overlooking face rock (literally like 2 months before this video came out) it was unreal, being from texas our coast SUCKS cause its a gulf, but the treasure that is oregon rocky beaches is unreal. thanks for this video.
Fantastic. Too many people talk too much. You show the sites. Great job!
Wow you picked a good day with a minus tide to walk into the punch bowl! Great video.
We just got really lucky, I had done no research on that in advance.
New subscriber here, great video and some great photography thanks for posting
Love this place. We have a beach house in Bella Beach in Lincoln City, even though the weather isn't always great, there is something ecislabput the cozy little ocean town.
Awesome video thank you🙂
Great video.👍
oh man I just did this drive... kinda wish I saw this video first!!!
oh hermanita q bonito chochos también siembran
Well you're just stupid, aren't you?
Thank you for sharing!
This is a great video!!
Looks like some sweet spots !!!!
Awesome ! Thanks for posting
Thanks for the comment!
I live in Oregon an hour from the beach. Ive seen most of what you videoed. Living here it's so easy to take what is basically my back yard for granite. One place I highly recommend that you drove past is the Hobbit trail. It's near sea lion caves. It's a very cool hiking trail that leads to a beach only accessible from this trail
Nice job, well produced.
Wow! You must drive fast. I did a trip from the Bay Area to Seattle Washington via I5 and did some stops along the way. But it took me 14 days. Even with that I felt rushed. I purposely didn’t do the Coast because of time constraints. Btw, I love your channel. I’ve read your blogs too in the past. It’s good that you’re on CZcams as well.
You missed beautiful Pacific City!! great video!!
Really appreciate the video. Gunna use your blueprint to organize our trip.
So awesome, glad I could help!
Hi, we are from Germany and this is a great help for us to plan our trip to Seattle. THX
Thanks for the comment, glad the video was helpful!
California Through My Lens
At which time in the year you have made this trip, we want too go in april/may?
We went in August of 2016
Great video!!!
Thank you!
Great video.
Nicely done, I'm heading out west in a couple of months and I'm hoping I can make it that far north, the Oregon coast looks too beautiful to be real, and about as different from the North Carolina coast as can be!
Best traveling channel 😍🤩so beautiful and interesting
Thanks for the wonderful vid. I grew up on the southern Oregon coast always good to see a taste of home. One small boo boo- the Prehistoric Gardens are not in the Redwoods.
Thanks for the comment and for the fix!
Amazing trip and video. You did so much in four days! Gives me lots of ideas for a trip with my daughter - she really wants to see Oregon. We live in arid southern CA, and really want to see some waterfalls. Also, what were your favorite, must see spots? Thanks so much!
6:09 wow what an amazing view
Nice video!
Good call at the Bowpicker!
Beautiful video
Thanks for watching and for the comment!
You miss Banden Oregon. Cute little town. Easy to miss. Besure to stop and visit. Got the best fish & chip at water front.
.
Hi, I just moved to Oregon Last year! WOW I am quite Impressed with your cinematography of the NW Coast, stunning footage. May I ask what song that is, because that is a really cool song!
Heyyyy brookings my hometown Indian sands and natural bridges are 2 of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been 5 minutes north of Brookings!
You guys went to my town, dunes are a huge attraction. With dune fest and all.
I want to spend more time at the dunes for sure.
Good video.
Looks like a fun road trip, esp the Olympic Game Farm! I LOVE to feed animals :)
Thanks, looks incredible. We have been to Manzanita, absolutely loved it. Did you stop there? We definitely want to take the full Oregon coast trip someday.
you guys scored!
