On that pumpkin frame, don’t forget you could put a picture of one of the dogs dressed for Halloween in it and display that along side your decorative stitchy pieces.

I, too, am working on Simple Life as I watch your video. I am almost done. Yay! The water wasn’t bad if you stitch everything in it like a “full coverage”. I had to stitch the frog three times..can’t count 😂.
I would go with the darker color for the winter pattern.

You are such an amazing stitcher. I like that you keep us up to date on your son. I've never had a child serve in the military. My husband served in the Air National Guard. He signed up when he was 17 and talked two of his friends to join with him. The Vietnam War was going on (now you can guess how old I am-79 for me and 82 for my husband) at the time. So military life is a bit foreign to me. My father was a school teacher and so he was disqualified. But all of his brothers served in the army, navy, and air force. I think some tiny acorns would be very cute in your cup.
I think most of my older relatives served in the military then too. But that’s what you did, I suppose. I can put acorns in that small cup. It’s a brilliant idea, thank you!

I think you might want to stick with the same fabric for your winter snow patterns for consistency. Perhaps, change your floss colors so your design will “pop”.
Thanks for the tips! I think I am going to do that option of staying with the same fabric and finding a different floss to use.
