Today it's been 5 years. 5 years ago the world lost a champion. A legend. A horse that was so strong, with so much willingness to win. If you don't know what happend on 06-11-2011, be sure you know. I choose not to include the accident. This video is about how great he was. Not about what brought him down. Please take a moment for this horse. Because he deserves it. Thankyou.

Eric and Hickstead. The two names equal one soul. Him and Hick were destined to be there for each other, but it was a convaluted twist of life, for both of them, that brought them together. And who could have imagined two lost souls coming together like they did? It's like Ron Turcotte and Secretariat...two spirits that just seem to have to be together.
The love that Eric had for that horse was purely inspirational. Such an epic team
he was a majestic creature he is a beautiful beauty i love him he was such a good amazing jumper but he will always be with us
