- In this video I use Smooth on Mold Star 20T and Smooth Cast 300 to re create a body to use for junk car races. I did this utilizing a 2 part smoosh mold technique.

Vintage styles are timeless ✨👍🏻
Very cool process. I learn something every video i watch. Keep at it.
Great work! Castings came out really nice!
Thanks a lot 👍.
Nice mold making and casting! Well done!
Nice work J. Awesome track layout!
Thanks Milo. I had a lot of fun building it. Keeps me busy.
I enjoyed that.
Great track too! 🏁
This video helped me a lot doing a first time silicone mold. Thanks ao much!!!
Absolutely terrific video my friend I enjoyed after watching your video I have decided I'm going to attempt to make some of my own bodies for my HO slot cars
Awesome video, Looks like a lot of work. TY for sharing
Thanks!! Initially it is time consuming to make the mold but once you have the mold made up you can pop bodies out very quick. The next step would be to make a gang mold so you could pour multiple bodies with 1 pour but I’m not going down that road. 1 at a time is plenty for me.
Thank You for doing this! Very informative, you sure make it look easy.
No problem. I hope I can help spread some knowledge and get people creating.
Nice job! Looks great!
Thanks!!
Nice job 👍👍
This is cool this time of me see something like this thank you for this video.
Yeah, that was excellent!
Really cool!
This is a very good video. Great step by step instructions. How brittle are the bodies you make? When I was younger, we would shape some aluminum foil over our slot car bodies. We would carefully remove the foil, and sometimes paint them. We would attach them to the chassis with double stick tape. While we were racing them, the bodies would get some realistic dents in them. Occasionally, there would be some sparks if the aluminum contacted the track. Fun stuff.
Great job
Thanks a lot!!
Cool.God bless.
Nice, did U make windscreens too, cheers Graham
That’s just a piece of household window screen super glued in.
What do you do for screw posts?
My husband really enjoyed your skill at making a mold for slot cars. Question for you, would you be interested in making molds for t-jets? If so, what would the cost be for each mold? Any chance you live in Florida?
Thanks. I live in PA. Between work and other hobbies I don’t really have time to make these on any regular basis. Check out big donkey resin he has resin body’s for t jets . They are not on his website but if you email him he will send you a list of bodies he offers .
@@TheSlotSpot Thank you for the reply and info.
I live in Daytona Beach Florida and there are a few guys who hang out at slot car City who may be able to make bodies for him
Great work , what's the Name of the Silicon you used ? And resin thanks
Mold star 20T is what I used but any of the mold star series will work. The lower the number the softer the silicone. I used smooth cast 300 in this video but have since found out that smooth cast 321 is a little more durable for racing.
Thank you
Hey man, great video, how dom you get the cast bubble free ? thanks
Smooth cast is a great product that don’t need vacuum. Just mix slow and don’t whip a bunch of air into it.
@The Slot Spot the problem is i live in Australia and i have been trying to get products from Smoth on for years but it has been impossible so i need to stick to Barnes here in Sydney, i was hoping i could get some advice regarding the technical aspects of the resin you use so i could maybe try to get something similar in here, thanks for replying man, i appreciate it 👍
@The Slot Spot i see there are different smoth cast options, which one is the one you use mate ?
@@mrmigo221 in this video I used 300 but have since switched to 320. Both will work great.
@The Slot Spot thanks very much for the advise man ,👍
Hi how long did you wait , to poor the 2nd mold ? Is there a cure time in between ? Thanks
All depends on the product you use. There is typically a work time and a demold time. I think this specific product was around a 10 minute work time and a 2hr demold time but I would read the instruction sheet that comes with the product you use.
I ment your second part of the mold , to poor it ,

no wonder how tamiya 1/32 mini car make from molding machine then motor to go
Track has too much clutter. Too distracting.
G man what do you want ? to learn or to worry about the guys room? get a life,if it wasnt for people like him we wouldnt learn jack, cant believe its only had 17 comments either, great video just what i was looking for.
@@richardmaidwell3492 I know, right? Why would someone spread negativity like that?
@@MrLuridan There’s always one in the comment section. lol
