the deeper brown is ashy, why don't companies just do nice chocolately shade? is it really so hard?
Its the formulation. The only way you can get deep shades is using black, if you use a blue based black it can become ashy, if you use a purple based black it can become very red looking. Its not the fact people who create foundations are bias it’s literally because theres only two ways to formulate black. Even with hair dye, markers, nail polish everything. Its the actual pigment that are considered fda safe.
@@123blacksheep hmm I'd have to do some research because with experimentation and all the natural pigments we have should be able to create different shades
@@Deenique16 we can make different shades but the formula of the polygel won’t be good if not done a certain way, like it might be more stickier, too dry, or it doesn’t cure well.
@@Deenique16 you definitely can but pigments can change formula similar to eyeshadow pallets and how some colors are harder to make it are a different consistency than other shades in the pallets.
Now she has an amazing nude collection with markartt ! Even tho they are polishes the colors are NOT ASHY, hope this helps💖

I can’t wear nails, it’s an actual disability, but I love watching nail videos. My bff cannot exist without nails. Nails are like clothes for her. I’d love to help her with her nails. We’re both broke bitches and sometimes her bills get pushed off a bit so she can get her nails and hair. But she’s also trans so she needs those things to feel comfortable in her own skin. I keep telling her to go to nail school and then teach me so can help her do her nails. I’m thinking of getting her a polygel kit for Christmas. I want to get some crystals and pretty gel polished but I’m bout 100% that I can’t pull that kind of $ together. She’s got a Korean girl who gives her a discount on her nails bc she loves her so much, but the designs are super basic and I’d love to use my creativity to help her do some fire designs. So I’m here watching these kit videos trying to decide what I can afford to gift and what’s the best quality for the $.

@@HCor1525 mostly bc it would be perfect for her bc she doesn’t have a good job that fits her. She’s struggled bc she’s a trans poc and finding work has been super hard for her. Shes literally stuck doing day labor. She’s always done hair but unfortunately the hair school in our area is run by either racists or homophobes bc they treated her so badly she quit. But there’s a nail tech school run by a different org. She loves nails as much as hair and it would finally give her a career she loved that gave her a steady income. I just think she’s traumatized by her previous experience in school and is scared to try again. But she loathes the work she’s doing and money is a constant struggle. So if she went to mail school I think it would finally give her the life she dreams of. Then she could teach me to do her nails. Doing nails as a career isn’t my dream, I just want to do my friends and fam nails for fun. I want to go back to school to be a medical aesthetician bc skin care is my obsession. I want to be able to do the lasers and Botox. Also chemical peels and creating personalized product regimens for ppl based on their personal skin issues.
@@Comrade_mommy right so why don't you offer to go to nail school with her? But even if she does become a nail tec doesn't mean she'll have the life of her dreams. Most nail salons are in hair salons and those that are by themselves are typically all korean/asain/Chinese run stores that don't really hire outside of their race much. It doesn't guarantee her a job and they don't make ALOT of money until they build up their name, reputation, huge clientele. Which will be extremely hard for her to do being a trans poc (if most people in your area are racist and homophobic like you say they are)

I’m thinking about getting this kit but i want to know is the Polygel chalky after curing? Like the white Gelish Polygel is chalky and I can’t deal. It cracks and breaks easily because it’s so soft. Hello, Femi beauty,. How do you know ? When you're done filing? down the product or bulk of the product. I went like way too long and I literally filed a hole in the nail so I'm having like the hardest time knowing when the timing is right or what it looks like or feel like and I done watched a lot of videos and I'm just still confused.
