- Reiko could have been a great character... unfortunately due to lack of exciting or useful special moves he just isn't. Hopefully he makes a decent comeback... maybe in MK X?

Reiko one of the most underrated characters in Mortal Kombat, Shao Kahns general... salute for playing on Master 2
I think he would have been a more deeper character had he been made Shao Kahns son or at least kitanas brother

I know this is a year later but, Reiko was intentionally Shao Kahn's reincarnation. That was John Tobias's plan but in the MKX comic series, which is unfortunately made non canon, he was a general who admired Shao Kahn and wanted to have some special meaning in life. That was where Havok manipulated him into becoming a blood god which ultimately made him into a vessel for Shinnok's amulet. Now he's just another grunt with nothing outstanding.
@@jaidora Yes man they spoiled the characters after John Tobias left, he was the only creative artist the studio had, I'm making videos for these characters, designing them as they must be, I made Reiko already though.
Reiko looks like a evil version of Chris O’Donnell.
I always had the idea that Reiko was a fallen god like Shinnok his bio detailes he did serve as a general in shinnoks army in the past implying he might of been exiled from the heavens perhaps even stripped from his god title. I mean his also shown as having glowing eyes like Raiden, and Fujin even they are depicted with this distinct feature demonstrating they're godhood of appearance. Well besides that Reiko's thrust kick fatality was perhaps my favorite in this game, awesome gameplay.

I always thought that Reiko was a Lin Kuei simply because of his clothing.
Reiko isn't Shao Kahn, he just assumes the role of Shao Kahn as emperor of Edenia, outworld, etc.

Diego Silerio No, the profile says that he was a general in Shinnok's army. And Scorpion was never a member of the Lin Kuei, he was murdered by Sub-Zero's older brother on the Lin Kuei's orders. And his Ninja wear has subtle differences than Sub-Zero's.
