- Playing in just 3.5 seasons together in Kings uniforms, Mike Bibby and Chris Webber had Sacramento on the precipice of a championship. Together, the duo amassed 197 regular season wins and 24 playoff wins - reaching Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals against Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2002.

Broooooooo this team was just ridiculous I swear they were like the 2015 gsw of their era they played team ball no egos
The real back 2 back nba champs !! Everyone knows it !!
Definately. They were equally dominant in both 02 and 03.
Bob Delaney Ted Bernhardt Dick Bavetta and David Stern prevented it
@@tylerriley2587 yes sir they did ! So kobe only has 3 threes not 5
It's pretty funny that the Kings do not use any clips with Grant Napear's voice 😂
It's stupid
Do you think it’s because of the lawsuit?
I was thinking the same thing while watching the video. They should have used the radio voice of Gary Gerould.
I couldn’t stand Grant but that was dirty the way they fired him.
Beautiful Motion Offense
Vlade and Webber two good passers and Mike bibby driving and kicking or pick and rolls
Light the beam
Good old days
And it only took a zebra to stop that from happening
a zebra named tim
Tim didn't ref that series.@@rithamjanardhan1155
Along with Bob, Dick Bavetta Ted and David Stern
I'm sorry but they are not just duo. There's the starting 5 and the bench mob.
2002 kings was too good they had to rigg it to send it to game 7
Tim Donaghey found out that referees A and F wanted to push the series to seven games, and Tim knew both of them as company man always acting in the interest of the NBA, and it was in the NBA interest that night to add another game to the series
David stern written all over
Nearly my ass. Refs rigged it for LA.
No other Lakers playoff series went to seven that year in 2002
Only reason why the NBA favored them was because of their large audience and mega stars, like Kobe and Shaq when you’re a big marketing sports or a popular player that brings in a lot of ratings. You get special treatment from the NBA and the refs.
David Stern written all over
@@tylerriley2587 fr
also a very nepotistic NBA that has all the power to rig games as needed. Did Silver or $tern ever even play basketball?@@tylerriley2587
Chris Webber is real King!
People have forgotten how ridiculously scary this team was
Maybe right now Kings are starting to get at that level. If they improve their defense to top 10 defense in terms of efficiency, giving up fewer points, improve in terms of shot block, force more turnovers, this team can be championship contender. If Sasha Vezinkov, Keegan Murray plays at a high level, this team can be scary. Potential 3 or even 4 all stars.
@michaelguerrero3684 I hope you can read this, but you believe once our current pieces with Fox, Sabonis, Sasha, etc with this lineup, could we resemble 2002 with the way we played?
@@ThePrescriber it is very possible.
My uncle was a janitor in the NBA headquarters at the Olympic tower in fifth ave from 1987 to 2009...
He knew the story in 2002...the meetings of Mr Stern with the refs, with ESPN and ABC big bosses, with selected sportswriters...in that very office...
I'm a Lakers fan but that narrative of my uncle always made me want to vomit...
I'm pretty sure Mr Donaghy has never slept peacefully in the last 21 years...
My sincerest apologies to Mr Maloof, Mr. Adelman, Mr. Webber, Mr Bibby, Mr Stojakovic, Mr Christie, Mr Divac, Mr Jackson, Mr Turkoglu, and all the members of the genuine and authentic 2002 NBA champions (sorry NJ Nets, but you wouldn't last 5 games with Sac)
Chris Webber was the Kings best player while Mike Bibby was the most important player for the Kings.
Malik Monk and Fox will change that
Nah
Sports are rigged so it didn’t “almost happen” but Jason Williams did win a championship in Miami :)
They were cheated.
