It was so much fun to sing for the ACDA Honor Choir HS students with my fellow Choir Director colleagues from all around the state of Minnesota. Considering the talent level of the group and other colleagues who also auditioned brilliantly, I felt very honored to be selected by Conductor Merrin Guice Gill to sing the opening solo.
Composer Shawn Kirchner took the text from the poem "The Lake Isle of Innisfree" by William Butler Yeats, who spent his childhood summers on that small island located in County Sligo, Ireland.
