Loved watching this video, thankyou for taking the time to explain it all so thoroughly. It's very calming, like Bob Ross with speakers!

Thanks for sharing. I take it you reused/ saved the cone to keep it original? I noticed it had the original date and manufacture codes. Great to keep them original.
I have some large 50's-60 vintage 16-ohm Electro-Voice drivers; 15" chrome basket. Wonderful speakers I have had for approx 20 years. Horn loaded of course. Still in use daily on my home entertainment system. EV used the cloth surround... Still like new. Every 6-7 years I open the cabinets and rotate them 180 degrees... just to relieve the spiders. Hard to beat those older speakers.

That's very interesting to watch. Just wondering, many now suggest using the frequency generator method to avoid cutting the dust cone. Maybe this speaker is too big for that....?

Great video, good detail. Thank You. Has anyone ever cut off a concave dust cap during refoam, such as Marantz HD 880. Thanks for any tips.

I recently came into over 30 jbl speakers like this. Most need cones and foam. Anyone interested?
