Ah yes, the F1 theme from the Mid-2000's ITV F1 Broadcasts. It was a great theme for it's time, but it wasn't Fleetwood Mac.

I think what made Alpine get called out so much was the sharp contrast between a fully painted WEC car and the 10% painted F1 car.
And the fact that they teased a camouflage livery which they don't delivered
And their own marketing which was basically a catfish move.

It definitely isn’t boring that’s for sure
It’s just so poorly implemented, they could’ve been really creative with that green, like an acid splash effect, or a glitch effect (coz of Kick) but no, just green lines 😴😴😴

Same here. WEC and IMSA are genuinely more enjoyable to watch than F1 these days, and I'm a Red Bull fan.
WEC is fire nowadays, pretty much the best motorsport competition currently.

Nah, Sauber had the easiest good color combination to work with and they still managed to make their car look bad. The green lines are so random that they look like an IA made it.

@@FP1Will I would agree with you... if Alpine had actually gone with their original idea of a pink/blue camouflage livery. The all carbon look with dashes of pink and blue just makes it look like a bootleg Mercedes.

How does the ‘08 intro work so perfectly
In all fairness to Red Bull, it's a damn good livery, and there's no point in fucking with a good thing especially when you're on a roll. I'm tempted to agree with you about the gloss, but part of me feels like I'm just tired of the matte finish because of recency. But perhaps that would have been a great opportunity to spice it up a little while also doing a bit of a throwback.
I actually liked the Stake livery when I first saw it, and I think the green color is bold. Polarizing for sure, but I personally like it a lot. However, looking back at it now, I'm already lamenting that they didn't paint more of the car. Which is a bit weird to say about such a strong color (it's so easy to add just a little to make it too much).
This year's car launches for me are a strange mixture of disappointment and excitement. Disappointing because there's way too much carbon, but exciting primarily because Red Bull seems to have significantly changed their car design while everyone else is just launching a copy of the RB19.
Remember when McLaren kept the same livery for nearly 20 years? Today's audience would have an aneurysm.
@mintgoldheart6126 I wish McLaren would still have that livery. Same goes for Williams Rothmans one. And Renault Benneton. I remember when Jordan had a banger of a livery and they changed it. Much disappointment to be had.
The RB livery is a nice livery. It's very recognisable by now. I find that matt blue sexy and I take the current one any day over the older ones. It has also become a lot cleaner with less sponsors. At this stage it would be like complaining about Ferrari always having a red car.

@@diegoemanuel8641 The white Honda livery wasn't bad, it certainly looked nice. What I wish they would have used for a season instead of just a shakedown, is the black and blue digital camo livery. That one looked very nice.

I don't care for that livery at all. It's not terrible or anything, but it's one of the ugliest white liveries I've ever seen. And I say that going back and watching a clip of it after having just rewatched that race a couple days ago. Terrible livery, IMO.
That intro with the nostalgic F1 song is actually 🔥

I greatly care about the Alpine WEC car
The HaasWatch intro eeally got me. The music in this one just elevates it

given my track record on predictions I wouldn't hold out much hope...
Mercedes was slower and less consistent than McLaren at the end of last year.

Do people actually dislike that Mercedes livery? I'm still a new Red Bull era fan so I don't have any nostalgia for the last decade or so of their cars, but I genuinely think this year is far and away their best livery. It's gorgeous at every angle.

As far as I'm concerned i was pretty happy Alpine presented their A424 first. Didn't had to go through yet another carbon livery F1 prez before seeing the next contender of the current best motorsport competition.
Bang on as usual, as a F1 content creator you must obviously watch others to "feel the room" what do you make of LawVs?
Found he has a similar wit to yourself but a more in depth format.
Looking forward to another year of ignoring the official race reviews and waiting for the comedy review instead.

I like the green of stake f1, granted they could have done a bit more with it and replaced the black with something else but its just nice to see different colours instead of every team being either black blue or red.
What was the music during the Haas section? It's so familiar but it's driving me crazy I can't remember
The Stake car is a disgrace. Cashapp car too. I guess respectable companies are pulling back on sponsorship spending.
Im curious to see if all the carbon is actually going to make it hard to see which is which or not on track.
Especially during rain races or from further away. Green will be green, red will be red. But black/grey/white can be confusing on my tiny screen

There's no way you gave Alpine a higher grade than Stake. Maybe the covid affected your vision over the break.
man I really wanna say that the Stake Livery is the coolest one but you are right they just didn't get the right type of neon green >_< on the verge of greatness and then overshot by a country mile
The one we are in complete disagreement on is Stake. I love that neon green, because it stings your eyes - and because it'll be a dollop of color in a very carbon field. The Stake cars will be the most visible, that's for sure.
It'll be a bit of a shame that that only enhances the back third of the field, but eh - better than all cars looking the same. 🙂

I must be sick because I like the Stake livery. The only way it would be better is if it was sponsored by Monster Energy. That neon green is going to pop on the track.

Love the VCARB livery as well as the McLaren orange without the blue they had last season but I want them to go back to their all Papaya design from 2018. I do like the Stake livery more than Haas tbh. Think the worst livery of the outfit this season for me has to be Alpines.
Really want to see carbon fibre liveries go away because they make the cars look terrible but I don't think theres anyway around it.

Personally I like the half paint half carbon look and completely understand why the teams want to shave grams off the total weight. A few grams here and there add up to a few more grams ....

Honestly. Stake. I dunno why, but I actually love it. First saw it on the track during testing and it's so loud it's just great. On the inverse it's not the worst for me, but I'm disappointed in RB's. I was hoping they'd continue with a similar style line way Alpha had last year
