We take you Behind The Innovation of the Losi LMT 4WC Solid Axle Monster Truck!
Completely designed from the ground up, the Losi® LMT 4WD Solid Axle Monster Truck is the first of its kind on the market combining all-out performance with incredible scale detail. Starting with the chassis, a twin vertical plate is designed to provide all of the performance adjustments needed to tune the truck for any situation. Whether you are a scale driver, a basher or a racer, the chassis is designed to accommodate multiple shock setups keeping you tracking straight, no matter the terrain. New multi-piece axle housings surround the 1/8th scale drivetrain. Additionally, the easy access center transmission comes stock with a center differential and allows for quick changes with the optional spool for that wheel standing action. For the true Monster truck experience, the axles also allow for optional 4-wheel steering and a new adjustable servo saver to keep the wheels pointed in the right direction. The Spektrum™ Firma™ Smart 130 Amp ESC and 3150kv 4-pole Brushless motor allow you to unlock blazing speeds. Drivers stay in control with a DX3™ transmitter and a Spektrum SR315 DSMR® 3-Channel Sport Receiver. A composite flip top cage adds scale realism and protection, as well as functionality so you can easily access your battery and electronics. Of course, the scale detail doesn't stop there with headers, drivers and LED lights and we've teamed up with Monster Jam for your choice of a Grave Digger or Son-Uva Digger body. The LMT Monster Truck has just thrown down the gauntlet on solid axle monster trucks.

Knocked it out of the park with this RC. I’ve already driven this more than any other RC I own and have a blast every time I do. Chris talks about trying to give it characteristics of real truck and I feel like the team nailed it. There are some amazing custom race trucks out there, but they don’t look like a real truck when they drive. The first thing I noticed about this truck was the easy the suspension worked and how realistic it looked. Great work!

Thank you Team Losi for creating the LMT. I am an old school R/C monster trucker since the very beginning. I bought a Tamiya Blackfoot when I was a kid and it was first released in about 1986. I immediately sold it to buy the just released Tamiya Clod Buster in 1987. I still have my Clod Buster but it has been totally modified over the years so it is nothing like when it was new. It has an ESP Clodzilla IV chassis and suspension kit amongst other numerous modifications.
I am returning back to R/C after taking a break for about twenty years and I am dusting off my trusty Clod Buster truck and bringing it back to life. It still has the same Clodzilla IV kit. Almost all of the parts on it are from companies that are long-gone like ESP, JPS, Novak, Hammad Ghuman, and Cirrus.
Back in the day, it seemed like there was no market for solid axle monster trucks. Everyone was buying 2WD stadium trucks and then when the T/E Maxx trucks came out, everyone wanted 4WD trucks with low profile tires and independent suspension systems. There was also the Kyosho Twin Force that came out during that time and it had a sold axle suspension system but it was not too popular and it quickly disappeared. Nobody wanted a true R/C monster truck. I said it back then and I still say it today - a true R/C monster truck has huge tires and solid axles. There are no exceptions to those two mandatory requirements.
It seemed as if the entire R/C monster truck industry changed in the early 2000s though and it was specifically tailored to a basic truck design that I had absolutely no interest in. (No thanks to Traxxas.) I want my R/C monster truck to be exactly that - a monster truck. I do not want my monster truck to be a 4WD version of a stadium truck at all. That is what stadium trucks are for, not monster trucks. That was probably why I put my trusty Clod Buster into storage at that time. The R/C industry left me out in the cold.
Now I have returned to the hobby and I am absolutely ecstatic to see that things have come full circle. People now want monster trucks with big tires and solid axles again! I am so happy to see the market returning back to the people like me that loved monster trucks that were exactly that - monster trucks, and not "tarted-up" and glorified stadium trucks.
Thank you Team Losi for catering to the R/C monster truck fans! I have not bought an LMT yet but it is the first R/C monster truck that has really caught my eye in a very long time and I am seriously considering retiring my trusty Clod Buster for the first time since 1987 and replacing it with a new LMT. It would take a truly exceptional truck to get me to put my Clod Buster on the shelf after 35+ years of use but the LMT is an absolutely incredible truck.

I've always liked monster trucks. Been in the hobby since 2013, but I met monster trucks in the Bigfoot nintendo game launched in 1990 and haven't seen a monster truck in real life yet. SMT10 did not convince me due to the really big sway bars and the size of the tires. I saved few months while I studied what upgrades it would require, and now my LMT has done its job! The weight distribution, how it performs under certain circunstances, something new happens all the time. It's my first Losi rc car and it's perfect. The only upgrades I needed were the limiting straps as a precaution, and internal braces for both axles, which was times cheaper than aluminum ones. Greetings from Ecuador.
