Nah mate. I just worked on an edge around a neighborhood that had overgrowth in the cracks just like at 4:22 and that little demo already looked like I would've had an easier time than using a shovel and this isn't even to mention that my string trimmer string was just getting eaten away like nobody's business. This has a very specific purpose and you still barely used it for that application.
Thanks for sharing your demo. They should have included hardware to secure it to your weed trimmer instead of you having to fashion your own. I find most things from China are poorly made, cheap materials and don’t work the way they demo in their ads. You did a fantastic job showing how poorly it worked. Thanks again!
I saw it/ see it, as an additional tool in the cabinet, that will only be used occasionally, for the right reasons (as seen in the adverts, and NOT a replacement for the usual system. There are other useful cutting heads for specific jobs too, like the angled 5? blade steel cutter, for tuff over grown Shrubs, and very young trees. Again, full secure protection would be a must.
Thanks for the video. I love my FS91 stihl. Very similar to the last model you had. I was strongly considering buying one, and after that, likely will not. Saved me $30.
From this video I can see the machine is pretty violent, as it tears into stuff and kicks back. Plenty of safety gear is in order, and I wouldn't be using it in shorts. Bits of wire are certain to fly off sometimes. You would keep people well away when using. In regards to the issue of the regular monofilament plastic line always breaking - I had in mind modifying my brush cutter head and fitting 2 short lengths of steel chain - smallest size I could find with sufficient strength not to break - but never got around to doing it. If such a thing did break the piece of metal would be a deadly projectile. That is why all these line wackers use plastic.
I made a comment about the viability of this product my concern was the broken wires with the problem of punctures to both tyres and persons this was in regards to a post on Facebook I mentioned that although I use twist wire brushes on steel I'm a metal fabricator I would not use one anywhere that I would drive ride my motorcycle or ride on mower as I have in the past ended up punctures in all, as well my concerns were of a physical nature ie standing on or eye injury I concluded my comment by saying although I had not personally used the product and I could not vouch for its effectiveness I would be happy to hear otherwise... my post was removed in less than 2 minutes I tried to repost I could and still cannot retrieve same add on Facebook...I think that about somes up the worth or rather worthless of what I think to be a con job thanks for taking a bullet for the team and trying it out was not surprised by lack of effacy regards Steve Champion 👍
Thanks for the video. I wont bother getting one after your review I'll stick with my "Alex Brushcutter head Champ 5" and 4 mm square string on my Stihl
He doesnt know.. he's to idiot.. do you see what videos he is doing.. He is blaming the tools to not working as he wants.. but this guy have no idea how to use them properly .. and what jobs he is able to do or not with them.. muhahahah.
I honestly reckon the Saber Cut power Cut (which looking at some of the fitment gear you had there, you've had before) is a far superior trimmer head. I find they do wear out after extensive use though but far out when they are in good nick they just carve scrub and dense overgrowth like you wouldn't believe. The longevity (or lack thereof) of mine is certainly from abuse though to be fair.
Good review both videos. Yeah its BS. The ads I have seen don't sell it as a purpose specific device, but as a universal replacement for line. The trick to conserving line is just being more careful with it. Line is great because it does a good job at almost everything. It's a consumable. If you don't want to use up your line on brickwork (and you don't have the patience to do it carefully with a line) just use poison like you say. Or use an edger and a shovel. There is always more to learn but I have been using a line trimmer about 20hrs a week for longer than I care to think about.
You have to just brush off from the edge if you do it properly it would work well . Just only let the edge tuch the grass or something you want to clean and it will work like magic one you gain some experience but its not for everyone or for ever work.
The only thing this is good for which I use it for is to remove grass and plants eg if you want a fresh start for your garden. Otherwise a strimmer and lawnmower does good. Have to admit I am disappointed in the product. I had to purchase different parts to mount the head.
you should buy with their head accessory 1st rather buy only the trimmer only. You can see video czcams.com/video/jjrf-06dot0/video.html just skip to time 9.10 to see use on top of concrete mean.
This item is marketed as being suitable to fit all trimmers. IT DOES NOT . I also feel that it would be dangerous fitted incorrectly to any old trimmer. I'm just waiting to read that someone has been seriously injured by this stuff flooding the market.
Bought it to clear my overly grown brick patio. It did not fit on my Homelite string trimmer, even with the adaptors included. End up just using the plastic string trimmer to clear the patio, which worked just fine. Would not recommend.
This head is a useless for most applications. Destructive and dangerous as well. Eventually small wires are going to break lose and become tiny misses.
Why on earth are you wearing shorts and t-shirt a brushcutter is a serious piece of garden equipment and your swinging it around like .Why not wear proper protective clothing and proper footwear. Atleast for videoing purposes but safety should be number 1 priority when using this machinery Also you get the attachment bolts and fittings with a sthil brushcutter when you purchase along with a blade unless purchased 2ndhand
Welcome to the 100th person that misses the point that the ads for this attachment usually state it can pretty much do anything. Therefore that’s how it’s getting tested.

Thanks for this :D watched both reviews the whole way through!

I watched both too you are RIGHT!
Aww.....I had such high hopes. Thanks for awesome video.

Hi, can anyone tell me if these are compatible with a Stihl FS45 whipper snipper?
Thanks for the video. I wont bother getting one after your review
I'll stick with my "Alex Brushcutter head Champ 5"
and 4 mm square string on my Stihl
Yeah I have a brand new FS 240 Stihl and it won't fit at all even though it claims "universal" attachments included.
Stihl actually makes a universal housing adapter for those attachments

Yeah they call that thing a “weedwacka” in Australia. It’s good.
Will it cut through thick English ivy?

Great vid, saved me some money ;)

Shorts?
You just saved me $30, thankyou very much.
Check out my video on the 6 tooth trimmer: one I think is a much better prospect (if you can get it to fit)
The only thing this is good for which I use it for is to remove grass and plants eg if you want a fresh start for your garden. Otherwise a strimmer and lawnmower does good. Have to admit I am disappointed in the product. I had to purchase different parts to mount the head.
thanks for the review, definitely a product to keep away from

i was going to get one but after looking at both videos i think China can keep it crap

Anyone who runs a trimmer with shorts on is looking for bad results.
Have to agree with you - these things are crap. I have both Stihl & Ryobi brushcutters and would not attempt to fit this rubbish to either of them.
This head is a useless for most applications. Destructive and dangerous as well. Eventually small wires are going to break lose and become tiny misses.

Eee
I don't know what the hell your doing. The thing is designed to rip weeds out of hard surfaces not what your doing with it.
