Stuck Valve HACK!

From Puerto Vallarta, I pass on a cheap hack to unstick a stuck valve on my Bonanza's piston engine! Marvel Mystery Oil!

I've had a few race engines professionally built - the builder told me to keep marvel oil in both the gas and the crankcase - I always add marvel oil - every few tanks of gas - don't need a ton of it - but consistently - and it smells AWESOME ! - if an A&P told me to add it - I'd add it - I add to all my engines - even the lawn mower ! great stuff

If valves are sticking it means you have deposits on the valve stem. They can be cleaned without removing the jugs using something called the rope trick. That removes the risk completely. Or you can wait till it happens again, which it will, and maybe causes a forced landing or worse. Don’t assume that MMO has fixed it. In fact sometimes just warming up the engine fixes it.

Small bottle in the oil works much better. My F35 I always put it in with oil change. Sorry you lost your plane, glad you are okay.
