Any time I try a server and it's locked out, I just wait til about midnight and sure enough w out fail it unlocks
Pvp servers feel very balance. So good. Some of us still remember taking time off during phase 2 on the classic wow era.
the balance faction is perfect in lone wolf, you see the same amount of horde and alliance players in the open world ( wich is a lot )
This is false, I’m lone-wolf and there are waaay more alliance than horde. The stats provided by bliz confirm there are more and just look at the ashenvale event and how it’s gone for proof.

i play on wild growth us. i really hope blizzard does something soon it is extremely hard to recruit people. we lost 2 people going into phase just because the horde is a minority. asking us to find 12 more people for the next phase is big ask. for the horde!
You’re on a dead pve server what do you expect them to do for you? I could’ve told you that it was gonna be dead the day they launched server
I play only wild growth horde and we’ve had no issues recruiting multiple raid teams or finding groups, the population seems just fine while playing the game
Crusader RPPVP has been by far the best realm both horde and alliance run around wild love the Open World Pvp Lets keep this alive as a community! :D

Its a little horde heavy, but I prefer that as an alliance member. More people to fight
@@Isidore22there are 13 000 alliance players vs 12 000 on crusader strike. So it are def not horde heavy. 😂

Great video! I do feel things are fairly balanced comparative to the past!
On my server the Alliance are locked out character creation from Noon til midnight, give or take. From midnight until early morning Horde are locked out of character creation. I think the SOD balance solution works great, if you want a certain faction you may just have to wake up at an odd time to get your character on the faction you want.
The only major criticism I have at the moment is the strength of shaman. They really need to make the faction specific classes middle of the road.
Yeah they are strong now and need to be brought down a peg, but wanting hybrids to be middle of the road is a sad way to want the game to be.
The simplest fix to this is give every race a weapon skill racial. Take makes from humans give it to dwarfs give elfs bows gnomes daggers give undead swords and Tauren maces. That would instantly fix the pve population issue and also balance the factions for pve. Considering alliance got wf through druids now as well.
You should balance the rest of the racials then, because undeads having sword spec and wotf doesn't seem very balanced.

This is sod so it’s really just retail abilities added into the community aspect of classic
@Krulfar weapon skills barely affect pve tho and wotf isn't nearly as useful in pve as it is in pvp.
why is there a several minute rant about act/bliz's financial decisions in the middle of this and how is it affecting faction balance
On crusader strike on the horde side we are starting to see 5min + que times for wsg and ab. Maybe the alliance are scared, maybe the server is heavy horde atm. not sure.

It’s the elder scrolls main theme. It changes in morrowind, oblivion, Skyrim slightly each time I’d go listen to each one
Playing on Wild Growth US for Phase 1 as Horde was enjoyable. Plenty of people, dungeons popping, BFD clearing. Phase 2? It's a noticed drop in Horde activity even with the more populated layers. It honestly feels they had only maintained the Faction Pop Balance feature for the PVP servers and stopped it on the PVE servers after a few weeks when the hype of SoD started to settle down a bit.
Living flame eu feels like way more alliance, but it may have something to do with alliance being hardcore nerds averaging 12 hours a day while horde only averages 4-5 hours a day
well i thought you would talk about another faction imbalance like in sod blizzard seems to favor alliance over horde in most changes they made.
I agree racials play a large role in PVE servers, but another fix would be allow all classes to both factions. I personally do not know anyone playing this game that doesn't like play a Paladin. Yes SOD made shaman stronger (VERY much so) but they are still not Paladins. My guild could not play alliance because of this server lock situation, so I have been playing a Shaman, but every day i think, this is not the same...
Interestingly, Living Flame EU is locked for horde right now, but there are 0.3% more raiding alliance. There is an impressive amount of horde bots to be seen, wonder if that's what has caused it.
You should use a better source outside of Ironforge. You should check warcraft tavern, which shows more data points, and most servers are 80/20 or worse currently, alliance favored. It's so poorly balanced, it's horrid on phase launches.
I have found the balance on my server to be great. It leans a little more towards Alliance, however both sides have been competitive in both raiding and PVP

I stopped playing wolk because it was disgusting, PvP server with 100% hords or 100% ally's
Well done on blizzard for implementing faction balance
Alliance PvP tends to have a different take on re-balancing the faction racials. There's grumblings at the best of times. But rumors of giving everyone fear ward, and the spirit of SoD pushing so many changes, it's worse than ever. PvPers aren't worried about +5 weapon skill they're worried about one in five stuns not affecting orcs or how everyone is a forsaken or how the biggest D-holes on the planet somehow always find this game and the tauren race.
I tend to be fairly agnostic on this topic. 'is what it is' But changes to fear ward is going to stir the pot.
the problem is shamans are fkn op and i lose every BG on alliance side, on horde it takes longer to open but dang we win like 80% of games

Crusader strike is insanely skewed cause of the streamers but I like it on horde and I've fought some semi famous people so far, it's alright
shamans are soo strong right now, all my irl friends went horde. left me on alliance alone.
Salv means nothing already with implementing Aspect of the Alpha for shamans, and problems with priest racials are very easy to fix
The STV event really takes faction imbalance into account I feel. It will be playable as long as people go to stv.
The funniest thing about the balance is yeah u got even amount of players but they are losing tons of players, 4-5 of my mates that tried to play with me ended up refunding their subs because they couldn't get into my server, one of them spent 6hrs and then finally got in played for 30mins and then quit? He told me he had no time to play after 30mins then the next day said he was spewing he wasted most of his day off and would never play another blizzard game again! lmao
The factions sure as hell don't feel balanced when I queue for a BG as horde. 10 to 30 minutes wait times lately.

Im horde on Wild Growth EU, and tbh its just a timer on when horde dies. The effects are already comming, few people doing raids and dungeons. Almost all horde also is somehow german and their lack of english is making the social aspect of wow non existing. Only option is going ally on same server or waiting for server transfers to open wich will lead to other servers getting destroyed
im here too and can confrim that there are so many germans but its not that bad /lookingforgroup is very alive
I guess I’m the only one that actually remembers original vanilla? Contrary to metagoblins opinions vanilla servers whether pve or pvp they were almost always heavily one faction or the other with very few balanced realms which became known as the “hardcore pvp realms” as you could expect even amounts of both factions fighting all over vs a horde of alliance dominated pvp realm where there was less and it was more 1 sided and both are fine, this game is a very pve based game with some pvp tossed in, you don’t need equal factions and the lockout system is idiotic and costing us players because people that convince their friends, guildies or family to join them but they are locked out doesn’t make sense, need to add raf or guild rosters or something to modify it or just get rid of it
it's not because of racials, it's because of humans. Most people want to make themselves in mmos, or they want to be prettier characters. Hardcore players (people that actually read tooltips) are a minority.
On a PvP server like living flame some players refuse to fight, just standing still and getting bested.
This shows the community's declining sportsmanship and is disappointing for the game.

No one plays, classic for faction balance
Lone Wolf US server isn't fun to play if you're leveling. You spend most of your time running back to your body now. You can't even level. I quit playing a alt because of this. When phase 2 dropped out was fun and fine. Now, you go out and get murdered by mobs of level 40 players who are assholes. Killing level 30 players isn't even fun.
Actually horde rasial is much better for pve and always was. Real reason for alliance dominance on pve realm is not dwarf priests or palas(sham mostly better in pve in P2), it is pretty faced races, look at retail BE is most popular horde race by a lot, even if their ability sucked in comparison to Berserking, blood rage or wotf.

If it's so important then why has the game lasted so long? I switched to turtle wow because blizzard are a trash company and not worth paying a sub too. Turtle wow is 100% free! No brainer. Pay blizzard $20 a month and what do we get? SOD which is vanilla with a massive time gate and only new feature is a few abilities? Hardcore was already out by the community but they release it and we are supposed to be happy? bahahaha, dogshit
