Cobus is the one who introduced me to Angels & Airwaves in my early 20s, and for that I am forever grateful.
They have some Stellar songs. iPhone used to have a rock band game by the actual game, one of the OG apps, and that’s where I discovered angels and airwaves.
Cobus talking to the camera, his future self, his past self, us, etc, is the best thing ever.
Kind of reminds me of how all videos of a series would drop in a day.

Man do I love your expression of cymbal sounds and the articulate punch of grooves you naturally feel. I've watched for so long, and that feeling doesn't fade. You are the man, and I really like this quad camera type production.
Man I laughed so many times in this, seeing bits of your humor from all over the place in the last many years (been watching since your first uploads). Loved this. I love that we can just gather as drummers (and aspiring drummers) and virtually hang out like this for a bit. Also that Winamp reference at the beginning was fire.
Also also, for the record, I do the exact same thing with juice. Like 90% water, splash of juice, dude it tastes basically identical and the juice lasts for WAY longer, which is great in this economy where buying groceries requires taking out a small mortgage at the till.
Just returned an e-kit because it felt like I was going to break it, so came on CZcams for a drum fix, saw you uploaded a 45m video and was very excited! I about broke my jaw smiling after you said "drums are cool dude" hahaha! That MEGA OJ chug was hilarious XD This video is amazing so far and that intro alone had me on a nostalgia trip..(winamp!) I gotta go listen to some of your old covers after this!.. Been a subscriber on different accounts since nearly the beginning and its awesome to hear you mention your old stuff and still have you doing your thing and uploading content. You crack me up and provide a great service to the drumming community. This video has made me really think about diving deeper into drums once I get a replacement set that doesn't feel like a cheap toy. Much Love, Cobus!

Hey Cobus, seems like it's been forever since I have been able to take the time to catch up with things like your drumming videos. I DO remember the over head series as it's when I first came across yourself, I have been along on most of your journeys - from collabs with Atom, the youtube band project, the quick covers and everything in between.
Still to this day I remember, cherish and love the time that you were doing a live stream (in the very early days of youtube streaming, might I add) where you had Atom with you talking about the youtube project, I was watching live and just got back home with some food, fired up the laptop and there you were. I couldn't get my mind around the fact that two of my favourite drummers were just chilling and hanging out. So I popped a message across saying as to how it was 'So surreal' - you even read it out mispronouncing my last name as Bri-chall, instead of Birchall. Yet it lead to an impromptu little diddy from Atom improvising a little diddy one the spot. It literally had me grinning from ear to ear and I still even show it as a claim to fame occasionally these days and it has lead to a long standing in-joke with some close friends that now call me Brichall, after an incident where I cleared a food challenge but the waitress misspelled my name as Brichall - the chances!!
You wanted a couple of paragraphs as a joke but it has been easily delivered. You are still a very dedicated, hard working, true inspiration and wealth of knowledge to so many people.

In the day I too was a rock drummer. I Loved the drums, but unfortunately I never had a place to keep a kit. Listening to your playing stirs up that great feeling of being free and breaking the barriers into a whole different world.
