  • A no-bake chocolate biscuit cake is cake that reminds memories of childhood for many of us. Such an easy to make cake, but yet, we all love it. What’s makes it so popular is probably the simple ingredients, digestive biscuits, butter, cocoa powder and other basic ingredients that we all have at home. Chocolate fridge cake is one of my favorite cake and I hope you will like it too.

    Ingredients:
    For the cake:
    500g Digestive biscuits/crackers
    150g Walnuts/hazelnuts/almonds, roasted (optional)
    3/4 cup (150g) Sugar
    2/3 cup (150g) Butter
    1/2 cup (50g) Cocoa powder
    1 cup (240ml) Water/coffee
    For the ganache:
    120g Dark chocolate
    1/2 cup (120ml) Heavy cream
    Directions:
    1. Crush/ break the biscuits into small pieces. Place them in a large bowl. if you are using nuts, crush them as well and add to the bowl. set aside.
    2. In a saucepan combined sugar, butter, cocoa powder and water/coffee. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring constantly.
    3. Pour chocolate syrup over the biscuits and stir until well coated.
    4. Transfer the mixture into a 9-inch (23cm) pan. Press firmly to create flat surface cake. Refrigerate while making the ganache.
    5. Make chocolate ganache: chop the chocolate and place in a heatproof bowl. In a small saucepan heat the cream, when starts to simmer remove from heat and pour over the chocolate. Let sit for 1-2 minutes and stir until melted and smooth.
    6. Pour the ganache over the cake and refrigerate for at least 203 hours before serving.
    7.Decorate with nuts.

    Its like ' kek batik ' . Kek batik is famous at Malaysia and it very simple to make it . I really like it 😣😣

      I make this at least once a week, the whole family enjoys. This recipe has been around for years.. Tiffin, I believe is one of the queen's favourites.

    Ingredientes:
    0:18 Para el pastel:
    500g Galletas/crackers digestivos (romperlas en trocitos pequeños)

    0:51 3/4 taza (150g) de azúcar
    1/2 taza (50g) de cocoa en polvo
    2/3 taza (150g) de mantequilla
    1 taza (240ml) de agua/café
    1:05 Cocinar por 5-6 minutos a fuego medio y esperar a que hierva, mezclar constantemente
    1:23 Verter el chocolate sobre las galletas y mezclar
    1:47 Forrar un molde redondo de 9 pulgadas con un collar para tartas

    2:12 Refrigerar mientras prepara el ganache
    2:15 Para el ganache:
    120g de chocolate negro
    2:27 1/2 taza (120ml) de crema espesa/crema de leche/nata (calentar la crema, cuando empiece a hervir, retirarla del fuego y verterla sobre el chocolate)
    2:41 Dejar en reposo por 1-2 minutos y luego mezclar hasta que se haya derretido
    3:08 Refrigerar por al menos 2-3 horas antes de servir

    The best part of this, is you can add or change the ingredients. No nuts.. no worries! Like diff textures.. a few chunks of nougat can do that.
    For ease of cutting.. use a brownie tray or sheet pN for thos who like it thinner. Make the recipe yours and have fun with!

      That's because it is.. You can't really go wrong, add anything you fancy, cherries marshmallows nuts, your fav biscuits. Endless possibilities, in about 5 minutes plus cold time in fridge. I just put melted chocolate bar on top, so even easier.

      Yeah I put condensed milk, I recommend it! this recipe doesn't sound very good. Looks really dark.
