How do you merge data from a repeated measures design where you have two key variables (person and time)? I can't put both in ascending order, so I keep getting error messages. so greatful for any hints
Lisa, depending on what kind of data you want and what kinds of analyses you want to run, you could a) create a new variable for both datasets that includes both ID and time, e.g., Bob_1, Bob_2, Bob_3, Sally_1, Sally_2, Sally_3 for a long-format merged dataset or you could b) update the variables in the second dataset so it says repeatedscale_2, repeatedmeasure_2, repeateditem_2, so it enters them as new variables for a wide-format dataset.
