I love you Alice B. Toklas
Her voice is wonderful...
Willis Lynn very elegant and refined
Willis Lynn yes
She was a sick person.
Was that her lover and companion?
This helps me so much.. I'm actually playing Alice in a newly written play, called Genius, based on Gertrude Stein. Thanks for keeping this piece of history up.
Miranda Flack can you tell me what you learned of her? was gertrude bad to her?
It is too bad the audio can't be fixed, by modern methods, so that folk can understand what she's saying; there is slight microphone failure, by modern standards.
.
It's good and why there is a transcript available.
this should be included as an appendix to Stein's Autobiography of ABT
Agree 100%!!!!
That sounds like a strong mission brogue
does anyone have a working link? to the full interview
I would have bought all of those Picasso and Matisse paintings except that Gertrude Stein beat me to them because I wasn't alive then.
she never took off her rose colored glasses!
Was the lady talking @Stein ?
who keeps talking over her? rude.
