24:03 Iron Patriot…exists 😭😭😭 had me in stitches.
Hey maybe someday 😂
Great breakdown, DLL. These, specifically yours, are 1 of my most looked forward to videos with the new patches. Always get such a better understanding of the new champions
Thanks so much! I love hearing that
Excited to get him when he comes out! He might have the quickest access to heal reversal with a ps1.
Yeah it's solid utility for sure
You’ve sold me after this breakdown, I still wish he had a form of regen built into his kit though
Regen isn't an easy thing to balance. His designer felt it was safer to use the resistance ups for damage mitigation rather than try to build in Regen after the fact, but I do get what you mean. Hope you get him and enjoy!
@@Daddylonglegs93 Thanks for the explanation! I could tell that the designer favored his high resistance in this case (which I’m sure will prove to hold its own). Heavy sp3 rotation also helps out with certain masteries. Sandman is a champ that could’ve gone many routes in terms of abilities and play styles, so I’m glad that he’s creating a new one.
I’m definitely more interested in Sandman than Shocker…even if the last thing I need is another science champ to rank. Neither looks necessary. Both look good. I’m happy with that at this point.
Sounds good to me
Sandman it's going to take some time when people see you how good shocker looks obvious Sandman looks a bit tricky but we all know when Doctor Doom but after we started on the said how you work we started to like him then love him.
DLL I am curious, if a champ is really wanted by the community (like sandman) do they get a different treatment in how their kits are made?
Great video!
Thanks! And the short answer is not usually, no. But I'd say that if aspects of the kit are making it difficult to balance them as a dual threat (as with Sandman), then community wishes probably do skew them towards "get the attacker kit right, then."
@@Daddylonglegs93 Oh, that's interesting to hear, thanks!
Kingpin has to be the best counter, even with the low crit rate. Just spam SP1 to keep the Weakness/Degen up and block SP2’s to build man Overpowers. Plus if you wanna be safe just block the L1 and get no debuffs because of the regen rate reduction immunity
Honestly I'm not worried about counters to a defensive Sandman, but yes KP will be very good.
Shockers definitely got to get Nerf that heavy charge without it skipping a little bit too much it's just pure raw damage no critical no burst.
Why is that automatically a nerf? He has very limited utility and has to hit the opponent and spend power to charge it, and then it's subject to a damage cap and stun immunity? My video on him is coming tomorrow.
Nice breakdown. Not my cup of tea but nice to see him with us and off the list
Thanks, and fair enough
Sandman already waay too underrated I think hes going to be an unstoppable God.
My only question is will he be good nd fast enough for B.Gs because that's the most important part of the game right now nd if hes not going to be a disappointment
We'll see. I think he will be. BGs isn't everything for everyone, so we don't tune everyone around just that, but I think he'll have good matchups there.
#SandmanIsBetter lol
Doesn’t really make sense for him to be immune to shock, bc electricity causes heat which turns sand to glass. I’m not mad, it’s a great immunity, just confused
Well, most immediately, try to apply real world physics to comics, let alone to a game based on the comics, and you're just setting yourself up for frustration.
But within the universe, heat usually means incinerate, to which he is not immune, and while electricity could cause heat, that doesn't mean it *is* heat. And sand isn't really a great conductor of electricity, so I think we're okay on that front. Plus consider No Way Home, where Sandman is basically the only person who can contain Electro. Seems pretty thematic in that sense.
