I saw a UK CZcamsr light his alcohol stove in a genius way. He dipped the end of his titanium spoon's handle in the alcohol, lit the spoon, and then used it to light the stove 🤯
Great list...my fav gear is UGQ Bandit quilt, Big Agnes Rapite SL pad, and Nemo Aurora tent.
I wish the storm 10 jacket from Patagonia had pit zippers😢
Which nemo fillo pillow are you talking about? The fillo elite is only 3oz, nowhere near a pound.
About to say the same! Did you mean the Nemo Fillo? Major difference than the 2.8 oz Fillo Elite which is awesome!
I thought you guys gave up CZcams. Welcome back.
You need to get a torch style lighter. They blast a flame exactly where you want it and are refillable. There are many great ones out there. Just look up "torch lighters".
I think you have the wrong pillow. My fillo elite weighs basically nothing and packs down to the size of a large lemon. Its very comfortable as well.
Are the Zpacks tents crazy expensive? Or are shit tents cheap? It always gets me when people talk about the cost of backpacking but all the other alternative holiday expenses like chalets, cabins, cruise ships, flights, motel accommodation and motor home hire! These are all one offs at least your quality backpacking gear can be used over and over. How many spectacular life moments can you get out of your top end back pack setup? Hoping for an outdoor trip from you guys they are always fun to watch, Oh and drag that Bryce bloke out as well, you guys are always good value. Ray.
Smartwool has a great warranty you should look into. Also make sure to get 100% wool in the specs.
Smartwool is so fricking scratchy though. Hate it.
my parents did this with us kids too
I really like the soto torch lighters. They have an extendable one that I take on local trips. And one that kind of wraps a gas station lighter that I take if I need to fly.
They are nice but they don't work over 5k feet so need a backup if at altitude.
@@domg7359 are you sure? I've definitely lit things on my rainier before and that's over 5000 feet. The visitor center is 5500 feet and we probably went up another 2k. Didn't summit it or anything, but we were solidly above 5000 and the torch was great in the wind.
I take by Big Boy every trip and I own five UGQ quilts. I’ve got two Chameleons and a Banyon, all kick ass.
I have one UGQ 20f topquilt but want so many more. 40f topquilt, and then underquilts for hammock camping. Would end up with 4 quilts though! UGH.
Any company that wont warranty their products like the GG LT5 is a no go for me regardless of how comfortable or good its suppose to be. I was lucky to snag one on gear trade as the Lite AF Tarp is now a unicorn piece of gear that I love!
Ha, it's funny, I actually have had a good experience with smart wool socks. They're holding up well. And my gossamer gear poles have miles before and after nearly 1300 PCT miles, including use as xc ski poles 🤷♀️
My Tensor never held air. It's funny sometimes how different products can do for different people.

Ouch
The lighters at dollar tree that look like those but have a crocodile logo work a million times better
I bought one of those crappy lighters because of you!! They suck.
Durston beats Zpacks. HydroBlu beats Squeeze. Windmaster beats PocketRocket. Old NU25 beats new NU25. Big-Agnes 6" Dirt-Diggers beat MSR 6" GroundHogs beat all other stakes.
Are you Ok? You don’t look the same and talking really slow.
