@@DNeeds never happened. the dealer didn't take control of the table. charles responding non-english to a fellow chinese player while both in the hand with pepe, upsetting pepe. it was a fair complaint, and im not a fan of pepe either. and also chinese myself. charles should of allowed nik or the professor answer the question during the hand. and that's coming from a charles fan. also, it got quiet because obviously there was no defense for the actions.

Pepe should've never raised on the flop there. He created immense pot odds for both Mariano and Mars to stick around and fight for a big pot and it caused him to be money scared on the turn. With a gut shut on the turn and only one over on the board, I think he was forced to move all-in. Terrible check.

One thing I learned about poker. When we are the previous streak aggressor and being out of position. Almost any that comes on the next will be a scare card for ourselves. That Jack's on the turn is a scary card for Pepe and a good player capitalize on it
That’s just the thing though. The J here will rarely ever help someone the way this hand was played. The only possible draw that the J helps is J-10 which he’s double blocking or possibly J-8 suited, and J-9 is really the only made hand on the flop that improves. If he thought he was ahead on the flop, he’s still usually ahead on the turn. Good aggression play by Mariano pushing his equity and a bad play by Pepe not reading the situation right. Had the positions been switched, I think you see Mariano make that call.
@@paulmayer8654 your breakdown of the hand was viewed by knowing the cards. Regardless of Pepe reading ability and understanding the situation. The point is, for him the J was a sacred card and probably many others. By being aware of that his reading, approach and understanding will be much better through time.

A jack was easily in Mariano's range because he called the flop raise meaning he had some sort of connection to the mid range texture, gutshot/ back door flush scenario, which he had, just on the lower side

Mariano played this hand poorly pre-flop and gets bailed out again with a good flop and turn card against a Villain who misplayed his hand. When you sun-run you can't lose. I'm sure when he starts running bad he will have to change his pre-flop strategy. Also doesn't help that mars called behind with another nonsense hand but Pepe only had one play on the turn and that was to open jam blocking the 8T and had equity if he was wrong.

"I dnt like Jack" - that's an emotional decision - If mariano had a jack and he thought he was good - He wouldnt jam all in, he will bet for value - If mariano was not sure - He would check in position because he has showdown value - I thought Pepe would snap call - Poker is all about making the right decisions consistently. Playing poker is tougher than being CEO because one has to take decisions more often at a very high frequency. A CEO has to take less decisions and at a lesser frequency. If Pepe jammed all in - Mariano would have called. I wonder how the hand would have played out if Mars jammed all in - that would have been extreme strength - Pepe would have folded and mariano would have called and he would have won with a pair of 6's - Nice hand - nice play by Mariano - He pulled the trigger.
