Also, in regard to your question about the "pike' carry lad. The pike was referred to as a SPONTOON, and the spontoon became a symbol of authority and discipline. It was carried by Battalion Company Sergeants (but not by the Light or Grenadier Company Sergeants).
Well done on having paper behind sprues. I think you caught on that lenses" hunt" trying to find what to focus on and the light entry. The Light Brigades are confusing which is which , that's for sure. The way they are presented on the frame confused me trying to sort them out and their Squadron leaders are different and who did they belong to. Extra 5 minutes I work it out but its a Puzzle
Thank you. A daunting number of figures, but once a few units get painted, they do seem to build up at a good enough rate to get a small game going … though I only do 3 bases per unit.
Yeah I've got enough for 2 small brigades so far. would like just a couple more units then i'll look at doing a small battlereport. Hopefully my mate will have a decent amount ready too.
There were actually three Staffordshire Regiments of Foot during the Napoleonic Wars. The 38th (or the 1st Satffordshire) Regiment of Foot, 64th (or 2nd Staffordshire) Regiment of Foot and the 80th Regiment of Foot (Staffordshire Volunteers) . The 38th and the 64th seving throughout the Napoleonic war. £8th featured notably in the Peninsular war at the Battles of Vitoria and Vamero. At Vamero the 38th 1st Battalion was with 1st Brigade under Major General Hill and at Vitoria they were in the 5th Division, 1st Brigade under Major General Hay. GMB Flags has the 38th Flag under their British at Vitoria section. These guys sell the best flags in my opinion. Although for 15mm should still work for this scale.
Another good video. I didn't got yet the british expansions because I only have painted like 25% of the french Line infantry and Artillary. I didn't touch yet the cavalry. Will be a life time to paint all the 3 nations with all the expansions. 😄
@@midlandergaming7319 Well the reason is that besides being a gamer I'm also a compulsive collector and I want to have them all but no point in having them unpainted 😅
There's a very useful website that I've tried sharing with you before that has great uniform references for all regiments from all nations at Waterloo. But each time I do I think CZcams hides the comment for some reason. But in general when painting British, the facing colours are the same as their regimental flag. The guy with the spear is a sergeant. They had spears as a status symbol and to keep the men in line.
Thanks. Apologies you had mentioned before. I need to have a look. Just not getting much time between work, painting these and doing filming/editing. Oh and children. Lol

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate the sharing of knowledge as it's all quite new to me.
