- Hi everyone! I've gotten some questions about joining clubs at big and competitive colleges like UC Berkeley. UC Berkeley is one of the schools where you have to apply to join clubs (applications, interviews, networking), and I know it can sound intimidating for many new students and underclassmen, so I hope this video clarifies how clubs work at UC Berkeley (I'm sure this process is similar to other big or competitive schools as well)! I also haven't seen anyone actually talk about this process openly so I hope it helps! If you have any questions, I'm always happy to help so comment below! :)

Hope this video helps clear up some of the lack of transparency when it comes to the student club process at big schools like UC Berkeley!
The secret sauce is to start your own club, invite all the rejects, and then profit
Thanks for this video. My daughter has been wait listed at UC Berkeley and accepted at UC Irvine. She likes UC Irvine (close to home, weather is nice) but, if she gets accepted into UC Berkeley, she would go there. She is planning on majoring in business. I realize that Haas is very competitive to get into compared to Merlage School of Business at UCI. However, as I work for a financial company, I have suggested that she apply to my company for an internship position. That way, she can join whatever club she would like while still getting valuable experience. On a side note, I learned that there are many paths to success. When I graduated as a business major in the 1990's, jobs were very hard to get. I decided to take computer classes at my local community college and I was able to find work in the software industry. So, my advice is to never stop learning or adding skills to your resume even after you have completed your degree. :)
thanks for such an informative video lillian! I am sure it will help many people learn about the process of applying to clubs
