Bhutan's King and Queen Hold a Naming Ceremony for Their Daughter

On Saturday, December 9th, the Bhutanese royal family held a naming ceremony for their daughter, revealing the baby princess's name to the world for the first time: Sonam Yangden Wangchuck.
King Jigme Khesar and Queen Jetsun welcomed their first child, Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, in 2016, and their second child, Prince Jigme Ugyen Wangchuck, was born in 2020. Princess Sonam Yangden is third in the line of succession to the Bhutanese throne.
