But Montreal isn't all about the old. Its Latin Quarter & Le Village have their own tales to tell. Picture yourself stepping into Arcade MTL, beer in one hand and a joystick in the other. Relive those video game glory days, then transition into the early hours at Stereo, where basslines command your feet to move and the crowd pulsates with shared energy.
Griffintown & Little Burgundy showcase a more laid-back side of Montreal. Imagine lounging on a boat, drink in hand, as the sun dips below the horizon. Canal Lounge offers just this, setting a chilled prelude before you ascend a mysterious staircase to the enigmatic Milky Way Bar. Here, every sip is accompanied by tales of hidden gems and whispered secrets.
And if your visit aligns with Montreal's myriad festivals, the energy is cranked up tenfold. Be it the melodic beats of Osheaga, the winter revelry of Igloofest, or the adrenaline of the F1 After Party - each offers a unique flavor of Montreal's celebratory spirit.

I live in Montreal and had no idea about any of these places 😂
Than my mission is accomplished
what places you recommend for someone visiting for a week?
@@helensvalehogscoltsbrah9119 if it is for a week, check my day video for Montreal which has more variety of places
@@Reformatt legend mate will do
In the days of my club going youth, the 70's and 80's, Montreal's night life was AWESOME. The stories I could tell. Good to know things are still hopping.
Would love to hear some of your stories 🎉
@@Reformatt I used to live near the "Mustache Club". It was a biker bar furnished with heavy picnic tables that couldn't be broke and to which it didn't matter if they got mussed up. They had live music every night from wannabe upandcomers. The parking lot outside was filled with motorcycles, cause it was a biker bar. It being almost a next-door neighbor, I'd frequent the place for a beer. I was just a hippy kid with hair past my waist wearing a headband and an open shirt tied at my midriff. But I was young and cute, and somehow the bikers liked me. I still vaguely recall drinking too much one night and french kissing a couple of biker babes at the table watched by a bunch of big burly bikers.
Sadly the place burned down shortly thereafter. The rumor was that it was collateral damage in some sort of biker showdown, but that was well before the Rock Machine / Hells Angels biker war, so who knows.
I miss the after hours Era :Red-light,Aria - circus - Sauna and the other place in st léonard the 2000's was 🔥🔥
Welcome back! Can't wait to see more of your adventures

Welcome back indeed! Definitely would love to see your NYC Trip.

Another great video from you Matt! Awesome! I can't really see you doing any other job:))) Cheers
Hahaha! Thanks Ian. You rock!
Nothing like the nightlife in Montreal in the beginning of 2000
I heard those stories, are they true?
@@Reformatt ohh yeah
Maaaaatt! Welcome back, and with my hometown to boot!
The older I get the less I go out so thanks for educating me on my city's nightlife. 😂
My pleasure! You will love tmr's Montreal full episode! It is going to be massive 😁
Great video! You've got to go back for a proper Stereo night though; that venue is magical for anyone interested in techno
Thank for the tip, definitely will consider that in the future
This video is fire 🔥 thanks for sharing.
You are welcome! Are you visiting Montreal soon?
That’s awesome I wish wanna go to Canada clubs.
This is gonna be so much fun nightlife clubs
There are so many good bars and clubs in many cities to meet amazing people.
@@Reformatt Yes I see it looks like you having lot of fun
Aww man I missed your show looking forward to season 10. I’m happy you’re still creating content
Thank you so much for continuing to watch the Reformatt show. What are some of your favorite Reformatt episodes?
@@Reformatt ahh I must say Tokyo and Amsterdam bro. I watched the Tokyo one a handful of times. When I visit I will go. Like you said you need a month or more on the weekends to see it all.
I dropped out of the zmontreal nightlife some time ago. I am now eager to re-enter it. Many thanks.
Then this video will get you right back into the scene 😀
Wow welcome back 😊
Wonderful 🎉
Please please we need places in Tokyo and all Japan. Please 🙏
Hopefully soon
Technically speaking, Piknic Electronic is an outside club ! open almost every weekend from Mai to october except when there are festivals on the island like
"Osheaga"(variety music) is a 3 day festival and "Ile Sonic" (electronic music)
Thanks for the correction 😁☺️
Amazing videos (as always), and so glad to have you back! Couple of questions on Montreal: do they speak English everywhere and why are drink prices so cheap?
Thanks, it's great to be back! Montreal is cheaper than most big cities in Canada. Yes, most people in Montreal are bilingual and can speak English as well, especially the younger people.
pretty accurate!
Thank you 🙏
Love your video! :) How many days do you suggest staying in Montreal?
Luckily Montreal is active all week.
There are a lot of new places in this video which I do not know.
You are exactly right about not getting drunk. Alcohol is meant to be enjoyed, not abused.
I 100% agree, it provides a nice buzz, overdoing something is never good lol
Amen!
@@Reformatt
Absolutely!
If you cannot control yourself when drinking alcohol, then it is better not to drink any at all. Just have a drink without any booze in it.
Besides, you do not need any booze or drugs to have fun.
Enjoy your weekend!
@@Reformatt
@@antonboludo8886 exactly, mocktails are great too
Yes, I agree.
All the best!
@@Reformatt
Hey can I ask you what the name of your intro song was in the Osaka nightlife video?
I don't recall, I will try to find it
Bro, when are you coming to India for the nightlife?
Which cities do you recommend?
@@Reformatt Goa, Pondicherry,Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore
i'm coming to take over
Sounds good. Which bar do you look forward to mostly to visit?
i'm still watchin ur videos man lol@@Reformatt
Do you have recommendations for the 1%? These all look a bit low brow tbh
I included something for everyone
@@Reformatt that’s the best of mtl? Wow
What were you expecting?
@@Reformatt more upscale , exclusivity , refinement etc. this all seems aimed for kids of middle class parents
@@georgiejackpot9540 did you make it to the upscale cocktail bars section in the video?
How old are you bro ?
Is that important?
@@Reformatt I am curious because you were clubbing in tokyio in 2009 and you look still very young
@@wesleysuvaal4305 wow time flies 😂😅
@@Reformatt got to be 37 haha en ik ben Nederlands
Ik wil volgend jaar trouwens ook naar tokyio in augustus volgend jaar
Mtl litelife sure aint what it used to be.
Don't mind me asking... What did the nightlife used to be?
@Reformatt less expensive . Therefore less people go out. If less people go out and it's spread over 5 area's like u say then that's watered down. St Laurent is too commercial .Plus now you jmhavr the wrong element and with that comes violence. I could go on but u get the picture
people don't fall for it. It's good only for short visits. Beneath the happy surface, lies a divided city where you cannot find friends
When I hear people like you talk about they cannot find friends I'm always reminded by somebody who once said maybe you ought to try looking in the mirror because maybe it's something about you that turn other people off. But since you're like most people most people refuse to look at themselves in the mirror and maybe you're not that likeable. It's always easier to blame other people when things don't go your way. That has been my experience in life
What a joke.....
which part? Montreal has many great places, no?
Future homeless people ?
Visited montreal 2 months ago and found it to be a huge letdown. Bad food, gross people and alot more dirty streets than I was expecting.
Really? I had a complete other experience, did you visit during the summer? Also which areas did you visit?
@Reformatt visited during the summer, around old town. A very dull and disappointing experience and I definitely wouldn't recommend.
Did you try any of the items in this video? Were they all disappointing? I mean yeah, you cannot compare it to an Amsterdam or Tokyo.
Montreal is the best city in north america!!!!
@@freddymyers943 definitely up there 🎉🎉🥳
