Whoaaaa! Waleska got the message of the song without knowing the translation of the lyrics. It is indeed about parting. "Paalam na pag-ibig" translates into "Goodbye Love".
In the play, RV's father caused the sufferings of JG's father and she just found out. She was asking for forgiveness from him and JG's character was telling her she should not be.
It's quite hard to explain the exact situation their characters are in though. Let's just say that fate was not on their side.😅😂😂😂

I agree with Efra, Janno has always been a favorite male vocalist of mine. But he got sucked into the loveteam phenomenon and he's funny so he became a comedian and gave his singing career little attention. He did albums but most of the songs are revivals and the only one I remember and love is 'I Believe in Dreams.'

The song is written in the old manner of conversation, yet its super effective. If you can only realize.. i believe Regine credits this play for her foray in movies. Vic del Rosario, big boss of Viva films saw her in one of her theatre runs, and he offered her to appear in movies. First one being “Wanted: Perfect Mother.”

That was NOLI ME TANGERE MUSICAL PLAY, the character they played is maria clara and crisostomo ibarra which is the main character of jose rizal's novel. The same as the character of the OST "babaguhin ang mundo" that you just watch (Maria clara at ibarra).

You should listen to how this song is normally sung, which is by Monique Wilson, who was the original understudy of Lea’s Kim in Miss Saigon.. it’s pretty good but you will see the difference in the way Regine attacks the notes. Regine is more belty but she wisely curbs it so that it still remains more classical to go with the period play. Yet the effect of her vocals makes the pain and hurt of the saying goodbye to love MORE VISCERAL and RAW. It really echoes the true Filipina sensibility of raw emotions.
Filipino pop singers are no joke. They're true vocalists. All of them have formal or serious singing backgrounds. Before becoming pop singers, they're either choir singers or soloists, theater singers, amateur singing contestants (like Regine), glee club members, etc.
