"Surviving- Echoes of solitude and strength"

How hard is it to survive alone?
Everything seems near,
like water in a desert.
Whatever I touch turns to silence,
emotions buried somewhere deep.
Why is it so hard to smile?
Yet I laugh aloud at trivial things.
Trying so hard not to lose myself,
conflicts rage between heart and mind.
One says to let go, the other begs to hold on.
Oh, to manifest power from the universe,
just to feel a little different, a little special.
To be in a space deprived of oxygen,
I am breathing onto hope.
Even the air seems to knock at my door.
To be dead and alive at the same time,
allow me to escape to another universe.
The stillness is now so loud for me.
I scream, but nothing echoes back to me.
I can't even remember my voice now.
How hard is it to survive?
I'm still here.
Each day a battle, each moment a victory.
One cheer for the past and two cheers for the present,
and to life too.
