MTD-20 splitter, upgrade. i have the parts, now i need the time to do it.

just doing a general run down of changes/improvements i have planned for the ol woodsplitter.
11 to 19.5gpm pump.
rated at 2.8gpm 3,000psi on 2nd stage.
mathematically, thats 4.9hp to generate the needed 2nd stage hyd force.
1st stage of 19.5gpm at 500psi is, 5.7hp.
2nd hyd filter, in parallel, will be 2 filters rated for 25gpm 10 micron each.
gage to accurately know psi.
possibly overclocking engine governor from 3,600rpm to no more then 4,400rpm. anything more requires removal of gov, so no steady rpms. unlike a go kart that operates thru the go pedal.

change from iso32 oil to atf synthetic fluid.
if needed, adding a liquid to liquid heat exchanger to cool oil. using water as the cooling liquid.

adding a engine oil cooler would also be possible, just need another heat exchanger and 2 more pumps to move fluid. it would be able to use the same water tank for.
how to get power from the small engine is still on the drawing board. mabe require a battery to run pumps.
