***6 minute time saver*** Fast forward to 6 minutes. Great video!
This dude does more self promotion than I have ever seen lol. 45 min of self promotion 15 min or useful info!
he is giving you free info in that 15mins so sit down shut up and listen to really good free content or delete your CZcams account as you don't deserve to see the mass amount of FREE information
You have to pay for most of this stuff if not everything 15 years ago!
And put the speed on 1.5
Legend!
Your enthusiasm amazes me, love your content please keep uploading I'm a future online ground school member.
Cross country solo stage check tomorrow this definitely helps. Hoping it goes well since then really close to checkride
*this video is so great for my checkride prep!! I got most answers right, but I guessed Attitude Indicator instead of the Airspeed* :)
Thank you Jason. I bought your written exam and I’m using this to brush up. Thanks for making this free . Great stuff. I will buy the instrument when I can. Thank you.
Thanks Jason! I am taking my checkride tomorrow morning and I am going to kill it!
Keep up the awesome content :)
Bodney_Bojangles How did it go?
Ryan Johnson he killed it. Lol. Just an assumption
I bought your pass private checkride book after this. Check ride is coming up in two weeks
Hi Jason. What a great business you have. I'm not a pilot and i'm not taking lessons, but I want to share something with you. I "took" your verbal test and did pretty well. Why and when to file an IFR flight plan...no prob. Reset a blown fuse...well I was close. Fuses only trip because of an overload and common sense told me to wait a minute or three before attempting to re-set and only if necessary. The old adage...control what you can control. The question about birds, which is a great question, I learned from watching vids of stol pilots in third world countries. If a strike was imminent I would certainly close my eyes and drop my head for a split second. I've seen too many vids of windshields completely shattered at altitude. The question on spatial disorientation I answered immediately. Air speed is everything. (it was a guess but seemed like a no-brainer) I'm only sharing this to try to impart on everyone that so much of flying is just common sense. And lastly I would implore every one of your students to watch every single VAS aviation re-enactment on the internet. They are soooo informational. If I had a nickel for every VFR pilot that skirted IMC weather and got into trouble I would be rich. Reading about it is one thing but hearing the actual ATC recording is priceless. And lastly I'll shut up but not before mentioning that the number of pilots who fail to declare an emergency in an obvious emergency situation is mind boggling to me. Just some thoughts from a non-pilot. I love your teaching methods. You are excellent my friend.
I was around CZcams viewer #10 I think. Love Jason's videos!
I am a meteorologist and aviation enthusiast. I only have FS9 (MSFS 2004) and CZcams videos from aviators around the world (mostly US). I knew it was airspeed indicator from an actual checkride video from Niko's Wings (IFR) - followed by turn coordinator. And yes, I'm planning to - one day - do some actual flying. Attitude indicator is convenient (probably the only 2-D-displaying instrument), yes, and is correct in most circumstances - use it as home base during your cockpit scans. I'm sure I'd use that method. But you must cross-check it with more accurate (i.e. less limited ones).
I also loved the circuit breaker answer. Reminds me of ACA797 on June 2, 1983: KDFW-CYYZ - diverted to KCVG. I learned a lot this video. Thanks, Jason!
What if you were a CFI-I rotorcraft, helicopter pilot already and you're going up for your private ASEL add on? What would you expect and/or do you have any experience with any pilots going up for a dual rating checkride?
4 out of 5 and I got the last one
Speed is king 👑
Never read a book or had a lesson just watched your videos
Thanks for watching, Brent!
I am preparing for my sport pilot checkride. Is there a difference between the private and sport checkride....if they are different how.....
Good afternoon, I recently purchased the 2020 far/aim informational manual. I am wondering why there is no part 21, part 39 in the book and why a lot of items on the study list are not actually in the book- am I missing something or have a lot of things changed with this new book?! Should I buy a different book?
I just went into a check ride yesterday and couldn’t continue. The guy wanted my ground stuff logged in my book. It all printed out from my private ground teacher didn’t work. Also, the online courses I took since they were date and time stamped he wouldn’t accept either. Everyone around me hadn’t heard of this. I’m finding a DPE that isn’t about making up their own rules. I looked up 61.105 and nothing on the sort is required and must be in a log book. It’s actually made me want to push this to something more. I don’t do well with time wasters.
At 50:53 you mentioned that if Valerie is in CA she shouldn't worry about special flight rules "one bit". I believe this is simply not true. SFR for LAX is something I remember my cfi spending a fair amount of time with me on, in some of the busiest class bravo in the world. However, it's been many years since I've flown and am looking to get back into it hence why I'm deciding if this is the particular route I'd like to go. Why did Jason make this statement? Is the online ground school more geared for Central / East Coast (although that seems like a silly question)? Thanks
Yeah don’t listen to the advice about the airspeed indicator. It’s the attitude indicator first because it tells you if you’re nose high or nose low and you can base your airspeed off that and it also tells you your attitude so you know how to recover. You get everything you need from that instrument whereas your airspeed indicator only tells you your airspeed and if you’re accelerating or decelerating
Nervous for mine I'm getting ready for my oral right now hopefully next week!
How hard did it turn out to be? I'm taking mine soon!
Mine as well, 24th for me.

Im a year late, but the birds at KOCF are still horrible, and the cross winds on 18/36 are always 5-10knots higher than the atis.
Wind always changes and that's why I rely on the wind sock to tell me direction of wind and just go by the feel of things for how much input I need in my ailerons when taking off or landing. Remember, ATIS is an Automated Terminal Information Service, it comes up every hour about 5+- minutes of the beginning of the hour. Things change within that hour and that's why you should use the ATIS as a general understanding but always be on the lookout for trees, flags, windsocks, or anything at all that indicates that wind is blowing against it. Even Grass!
but why does the plane move faster when the CG is Atf?
this confuses me too....
My understanding is that the plane is creating less drag by changing the way the elevator contacts the air.
Why 2 watches??

Thanks for watching!
I’ve yet to see any instructors make any sacrifices for the students. None. It’s all about the money. Not the passion of the future pilots.
I'm sorry to hear you've had bad experiences! There are instructors out there that really want to help and inspire new pilots, definitely keep you head up and keep looking for a good hearted instructor!
Hello you explained erroneously after CG and stability. Go back and analyze the data. Saludos

Down-vote: Too much fluff, get to the details. Blah, blah, blah. Just my opinion.
Thonati m Shut up Meg.
This video offered almost nothing. My private checkride was way different than I had expected.
@@jimmyfall9302 Agreed. Jason really loves to hear himself talk. His presentation skills are horrible. He needs to take some Public Speaking classes or get a tutor. What a waste of 59:09 of your life.
