  • This is my new garden hot tub. Instead of buying verry expensive jacuzzi or heated swimming pool, I've built cheap hot tub :) The tub is wood fired.
    I've bought the tub for 13 USD and built the frame,oven and other things alone. It is really easy project.
    My Hot tub has closed fire (in the oven like in pizza oven) and it is capable to heat the water in the tube in very short time. Only small fire is needed.
    This is one of my coolest project ever ! Vary relaxing and satyfying to use :)

    WOW = I've been looking at all sorts of designs for Rocket-Mass heater / tub combinations but I REALLY like your design!!
    And I love your accent and think you have done a FABULOUS job on your video... (you have nothing to apologize for!)
    I stopped mid-way to comment, subscribe and share with a friend. Then I will go back and review it slowly because I think this is the design I want to go with.
    I've seen the question about 'where does the smoke go?' and the suggestion to incorporate the drain to make emptying it easier.
    I'm really enjoying your video Sir and I look forward to the rest of it and seeing what else you've been up to!
    SMART!!
    Thanks, from the Okanagan Valley, BC Canada.

    I jeszcze mam jedno pytanie - jak wygląda kwestia nagrzewania się wanny i wody? Nie nagrzewa się za bardzo ze względu na bliskość ognia, zwłaszcza dno wanny?

      Mam jeszcze pytanie o ujście wody bo chyba o tym nie wspomniałeś w szczegółach lub nie zrozumiałem. W wannie jest zamontowany normalny syfon z tworzywa czy zamontowałeś jakiś stalowy? Chodzi mi o kwestie temperatury.

    Is there a ways you can make this so it drains itself so you can recycle the water. I would make it higher up obviously and so gravity can do the job.

    • @Lunarl4ndr
      @Lunarl4ndr Před 3 lety

      I mean just hook the drain up like a normal tub with steel pipes and a ball valve. Unfortunately you'd either need to bury the 2nd tank, have it down the hill by the total height of the 2nd tank or hook up a manual pump. Manual bilge pumps are pretty cheap.

    • @skillful_DIY_fan
      @skillful_DIY_fan  Před 3 lety +5

      there is no chimney. Instead the entrance for the wood is big. It suck the air and throw away te smoke. Sorry for my poor english ;-)

  • @Lunarl4ndr
    @Lunarl4ndr Před 3 lety +1

    I think a hybrid between the coil and a under firebox would be best. The benefit of the coil is it actually circulates water. So if you made a chimney you could coil the tubing inside and suck up even more heat plus circulate the water.

      I think he meant oven because he mentions an opening about the same as a pizza oven. Also he says tube instead of tub. He called it a bath tube a few times. It took me a couple of listens to understand what he meant. Hope that helps.
