Sithi Nakha | Nepal Bhasa | Newar culture

Sithi Nakha is celebrated on the 6th day of the jestha .This day is dedicated to lord Kumar Kartikeya . A resident from the Newar community prepares traditional bara pancakes in celebration of Sithi Nakha festival . The newari people celebrate the sithi nakha festival to mark the begining of the monsoon season by cleaning water such as pound , wells and stone spouts .
In this video we try to capture the daily life of common Newari people on the day of sithi nakha ,living in core of Kathmandu valley . in this video we captured the important of sithi nakha in normal word important of environment . We tried to spread the message about important of environment and we should make our environment clean .
