My wife and I have been there twice, Two things. My wife had our yorkie on a leash, and the donkeys kept trying to get her. I finally had to carry the dog the rest of the day. Second, I bought one of the best gun belts I own there, for about half price of local LV retailers or even online. Very cool place. Kinda bit of a tourist trap, but still cool.
The Oatman mine still has gold in it, but it is so deep it costs to much to dig it out. Also I looked into the name of Oatman found out it was the name of a family that was killed in Arizona. The only survivors were Olive Ann, her sister, and her brother. Olive went on a speaking tour, which paid for her and her brothers college. Good story, but she never visited the area, she died in 1903, Oatman was named in 1912. Look it up, real good story....
I really need to make it out west! I just love the looks of these awesome desert roadside attractions!
