    Thank u so much !! I really need such a perfect explanation for my master degree research ! It was rich and clear but I'm confused ...regarding the differences between quasi and true experimental methods ,I didn't grasp the random selection of participants and non random selection of participants ! I would appreciate it if u explain or give me a simple example about it please ❤️
    Another question please ... If my research is about adopting authentic materials to motivate middle school learners can I use both a survey research and true experimental method (i mean is it possible to use two different methods to prove one hypothesis ?

    • @GMLectures
      @GMLectures  Před 3 lety

      Hi, thank you for appreciating this video, hope it was able to help.
      As for your question, it is possible to use the survey research and true experimental research, the survey part would serve as a form of 'pre-test' that would determine the level of motivation of the students before the intervention (which is the use of authentic materials)...

    in a study where the researcher wants to study the effect of educational programs in reducing levels of bullying, the learners were not divided and attended these programs same time what type of design is it

    • @GMLectures
      @GMLectures  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi,
      With regard to your question, I have some concerns, if it aims to determine whether the educational program has an effect in reducing the levels (instances?) of bullying cases in a particular school, I believe it is important to have some form of prior data that may be used as a reference for comparison; if so, this will make the study a quasi-experimental research design since you have an initial data before the intervention (educational program) has been implemented and you can collect the necessary data after the intervention has been implemented.
      Hope this helps...

    What type of experimental research design is used if there is no control group or no comparison will happen? Like producing an item or making something using materials

    • @GMLectures
      @GMLectures  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi, thank you for your question.
      Usually, it would be a true experimental research design since it will involve a series of trials and errors.
      As for the matter of not having a control group, I believe there is the need for a control group for comparison purposes.
      Say for example, you are to make an organic insecticide. You may opt to have multiple set-ups and a control group to determine which set-up (mixture of components) would prove to have the same level of efficacy with that of the commercial insecticide (control group).

    What kind of research design is measuring a satisfactory? and what particular measurements do you have to use to measure the satisfaction of a person? pahelp po I am not familliar with quantitative research and I am willing to learn po your videos are really helpful!

    • @GMLectures
      @GMLectures  Před 3 lety +3

      Hello, thank you for watching this video. When measuring satisfaction ratings, a researcher can opt to conduct a simple survey research that uses an instrument designed to measure the levels of satisfaction of the respondent.
      For such kinds of instrument, you may opt to design one using Likert scale. You may watch this video to have an idea:

    • @GMLectures
      @GMLectures  Před 3 lety +2

      Hello, based on what you have indicated, this may fall under the survey research design, although, you can also opt to have a mixed method approach. In the end, it all boils down to your research objectives as these would help you determine which research design will be most appropriate.

    What kind of research design is appropriate for a study that aims to determine the factors affecting a variable?

    • @GMLectures
      @GMLectures  Před 3 lety +4

      Hello, your topic is too broad to determine a single research design. When we aim to determine factors that affect a particular variable, it depends on your approach as to how you would be able to determine it.
      If you want to test whether a certain variable would affect another variable, you can opt to have an experimental research design type (quasi-experimental or true experimental).
      If you aim to verify whether there is a connection between two variables, you may choose to have a correlative research design.
      If you simply want to determine the different factors that affect a particular variable, you can also opt to have a survey research design.

    Sir ask lang po ako, how do you establish/make your null hypothesis for survey research design po?

    • @GMLectures
      @GMLectures  Před 3 lety

      Hi, thank you for your question...
      Take note that a Null hypothesis is a statement that claims the absence of a relationship between involved variables; in line with your concern for a survey research design, the formulation of the null hypothesis would be very much dependent on the end result of your study and the variables involved in it.
