Super Mario Land started out as an amazing way of playing Mario on the go when it came out in 1989. But just like with Kirby’s Dream Land, nowadays it’s very primitive compared to the later installments, Super Mario Land 2: The Six Golden Coins and the Wario Land games.
I remember this channel many years ago being called "cubex55". Had to look it up on a wikipage, because I forgot the previous name of this channel. World of Longplays however is a fitting name, since it is THE longplay channel on CZcams.
Y’know, Nintendo was wildin’ for having the Can-Can theme from Orpheus in the Underworld as the invincibility theme for this specific game. I can’t understand how they got away with that.

Is it me, or does the sound that play when you stomp on an enemy sound similar to the "Gain a Power-Up" noise from the PC-8801 version of Super Mario Bros. Special?
Mario's very first handheld game, and it shows. It's pretty good for it being the first of its kind. The sequel would definitely improve on the graphics and gameplay of the first.
btw if you speedrun, in lvl 3 right at the start there is a hidden block you can bump and reveal, then you move on top of lvl and shave off some secs. that ending boss of lvl 3 was to fast though, you cheater :) np just making muic playlists i guess

This is my first video game that I ever owned in 1991. I currently own around 500 physical games like around 95% of them in complete box with manual.
I gotta say, It's about time this finally arrived on Switch.
You have to beat it a second time in a row! After you beat it once the difficulty increases!
This game has the best music of all the old Mario games.

15 years ago the first longplay of Game Boy games was released on the World of Longplays channel, and now it’s in FullHD with 60FPS
