An amazing flight during a remarkable East Coast snowstorm! This documentary style video was really fun to shoot, and gives you a first hand view from the passengers perspective in United’s new Polaris Business class. Since this flight was a domestic flight, it doesn't represent the complete Polaris service one might receive on an international flight.
Also at the main focus of this video is the sights and sounds of United’s new 787-10 Dreamliner which is a very beautiful aircraft, and had an overall positive passenger experience. The crew was friendly, attentive, and never missed a beat despite the weather delay. This project is intended to be an entertaining experience looking over the shoulder of the passenger, so there is no critical "trip report" type commentary. If you do have more detailed questions about the experience feel free to ask me in the comments.
    Flight details are as follows:
    Airline: United
    Aircraft: Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner
    Reg: N12004, SN 601139, Line 795
    Route: EWR - SFO
    Flight#: 637
    Seat: 11L
    Record Date: 3/2/2019
    Class: Polaris Business
Music credits for night/sleep scene: Associated Production Music via Soundtrack Pro library.
Camera equipment: Nikon D750 camera body, lenses (Nikon 24-120mm f4, and Tokina 16-28mm wide angle), Audio recorder (Zoom H5). There were some technical difficulties with my cable in the IFE system so most of the audio from the meal service onward was recorded on the camera’s internal mic.

Hi There! Superb quality video and audio! Just wondering what you used to record flight deck announcements and how you captured the ATC during flight? Keep them coming!!

Philip Wright Yes! Another Philip with one L. I’m not alone after all haha. Your comment encouraged me to list my equipment in the video description. The flight attendant announcements and flight deck cabin announcements were initially recorded on a Zoom H5 audio recorded. However I didn’t realize the audio jack on the in-flight entertainment system was two prongs, so I had some trouble with my audio cable making connection. Therefore, the last part of the flight was just my internal camera mic. The ATC I got from live ATC.com. Glad you liked the video!

LoveJT8D No your not alone Philip, I am in Northern Ireland and when I went to my local Mercedes Dealership last week the guy behind the parts counter had our name on his badge!. About listing stuff, not just equipment, camera etc but the editing software as well. Looking forward to the next one! P.

Little known fact, but English is the language of international flight. All flights, no matter the origin of flight or its destination, MUST use English as primary vox communication language. Just an FYI moment.

Well said and accurate (some exceptions like France where pilot still speak French a lot). But common knowledge isn't it?

@@mjt777x8 For Polaris, if you buy at the right time, sometimes you can get domestic first tickets for $500 give it take. For overseas out of the US though, definitely looking at much much higher.
