Streets of Rage is the greatest game of all time. I remember playing it back in the 90's, the megadrive/genesis was the shit. I have to download this. Sonic, Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe.. Games today just aren't nearly as fun as they used to be.
To the people that say this guy sucks, lets see you do it better yourself. In fact, even if you guys do better or think this is easy, have some respect for this guy, at least he ain't save stating like some would do. Plus, the remake's Normal difficulty is as hard as SOR2's Hard or even Hardest. On a side note, this guy did the US version of SOR3, which is something a lot of people cant do.
I played on normal mode has Blaze,but I didn't pay attention to the time left,and BOOM!!! I was so angry at myself,but I will try again at a later time,maybe the outcome will be different than last time!
@Stevetheanimeninja: He's saying "Grand Upper" with a heavy accent. It's the name of the technique. Of course, it sounds more like "GRAND APPAH!", but you get the idea. ;-)
You get all that way to completing it. Head held high for the final boss...and then you get a stingy time limit to determine how worth while your efforts were :p
Its strange because when i played it first with adam for a bit as a mess about i was disappointed by the character and restarted as axel, but then after completing with axel, today i started a new game with adam and played through as adam, and got to the the end of stage 8 with just 1 less life,i just think he's balanced differently and need to learn how to use him. But yeh i can see bare knuckle killing off super shiva more quickly in the time constraint.
When I played this, I resorted to Axel because I can combo well with him. As for Adam, well... his strength isn't that much compared to Axel when I play with him. You just need to be really offensive around that point and eliminate as much enemies as possible to advance. As for Super Shiva, you need to try your best to not get hit with his sliding attacks and such. And resort to using specials as much as possible to whittle his health down. Its hard, but its possible. Just stay on offense!
Personally I thought Mr. X was way too easy on normal, compared to both mona/lisa and Shiva before him. I took a different route though, there was this bug after the twin jumping robot fight with my npc buddy not following me(!) which made me discover an alternate route where you went down an elevator instead of going right.
@Brunototguitar Just download it from the Bombergames website (currently at v. 4.01) and install it on your PC. Joypad support is spotty, but should work fine for any Windows-based joypad. If you're using an X-Box Street Fighter pad for instance, you may need to download Xpadder and assign keyboard strokes to your joypad buttons, otherwise SOR Remake won't recognize them. This was nice I liked it. I'm always looking for a real sequel of this game though but unfortunately their isn't. I enjoyed seeing this, it was short and to the point I wished the player would have passed it though. Nice job though on remaking this though!

ok, im tryin to beat super shiva for the first time, im on the elevator as adam usually & when i get off the elevator there's about 30 seconds left on the timer,any advice on what to so ill have more time to beat super shiva or what character to use?
@djfakt Have you ever played streets of rage? If you select hard mode you will get many multiple opponents on screen, all the ones they showed in the video are from the games streets of rage 1 and 2! Dude play the original games and then comment! In streets of rage 2 in the elevator you versus bosses as well as normal grunts at the same time!
dude how do you get this game installed. I know where to get it and I downloaded it but I'm having trouble playing it. I extracted the folder and then when I hit the application and it said there was an error. Can somebody plz tell me what I'm doing wrong.
WTF?! That ending felt sooo wrong. I was rooting for you the entire time and you did extremely well considering the cheap shots you recieved from enemies and bosses. If it weren't for that ass clown Souther you would've had a decent chance against Shiva. However, with your skill level attaining a perfect ending shouldn't be out of reach.

5 really if you think of how you asked it. how many SOR games they made for sega is what you asked. 1 for the game gear, 3 for the SG, and 1 for the SMS.
I don't know about anyone else, but I thought Super Shiva was easy as hell. I beat him on my first try with like 15 seconds left (if thats possible, I can't recall, had some time left)
