Toro's are great machines. I'm the same way with my blades, I sharpen every week on the company mower and after every cut or second cut with my residential mower.
Toro makes some of the best equipment out there!!!! 40 years ago I used to cut a lot of grass and never had any problems with Toro's. Didn't let anyone else on it but me either. [ some people you just can't trust with anything] Of course I always did most of the Maintenance. Retired now and I have 2 Jd's. A d130 that I put an upgraded rear end in it and it has transformed that average big boxer. Also got a S240. This would be the least of any homeowner model I would ever buy Period.... And my main workhorse is a 2000 Toro Wheelhorse. The plow blade stays on it year-round for snow and moving dirt. It's an absolute beast!!!!The frame alone is built like a truck!!! All my neighbors love it also because I plow their driveways also.
That’s an awesome mower. I wish my dang Toro would run right. I bought the Toro z master 6000 with Horizon technology and that thing has been such a headache. It’s the best cutting zero turn I have ever ran when it’s running but that’s the problem is keeping it running. It just spent almost 3 months at the dealer and I just got it back and within 30 minutes it threw a code and is saying “lean Pe” so I guess back to the shop it goes. I hope you have good luck with yours. I don’t wish mower troubles on anybody 😂
That’s why I stay away from that stuff even fuel injection! I imagine it’s probably the wiring harness my buddies just had his in for a code don’t know which one but it’s was the wiring harness
The better my lawn gets the more I find I really need more power! I pretty much always have to double cut because my old residential zero turn just can't handle the thickness even mowing twice a week. I have a commercial mower for my business that does great, but I refuse to use that on my yard unless it's thoroughly cleaned because I don't want to contaminate my yard with crap from other people's lawns. I intend to keep my company mower for my own yard once I upgrade that one so I can have a nicer mower for my personal lawn.
silly question. did you measure the RPM on both engines? are they both operating at 3600? I do understand the higher HP wont drop rpm under a higher load. I always make sure my engines are at 3600--all of them. it does make a difference...even on my little timemaster....and all my Honda gx equipment.
I have the same mower as your original one, and have experienced some of the same issues. I cut very thick fescue at 3.75 to 4 inches, and can't hear the engine RPM drop, but the cut could be better sometimes, and I also see some blades have a torn cut. I still run the stock Toro high lift blade that comes with the mower new. Do you still run those blades?

That’s awesome!!! Definitely cutting much cleaner! That’s about how my scag looks after cutting, nice and clean! Great video brotha.
Cool machine! May lawn is nowhere near as thick as yours but perhaps when I get there, I might reward myself with a higher HP machine. 🙂

Thanks again
That's beautiful. I am a big Toro fan as well. I own a Zmaster 4000.love it. I am older so I like sitting down. Again I love your new mower.
Nice new mower! Now you’re gonna have to change your lines up bc that 4” difference lol
Sweet mower!!! Didn’t know they came with the big block! Gonna have to buy me one now!
I think it just came out this year.

Have that engine on my Zmaster 4000 hdx pro xl 60", it is a beast.
Sweet mower!
Look into the flex shoot from Spencer products before you purchase the grass flap

I did not!
@@Primetime_Fescue try it. its important. cheap rpm gauges are usefull. I enjoy your channel.
Take that toro back and get you a hustler.
It's a 38.5 horsepower on the 1000v. Do you run high lifts or super high lifts on the 48?
I e ran everything the last 4.5 years
Any roller for striping on that new mower?
I do have one but it’s want go on until the fall

I’ve tried every blade there is lol. Honestly the stock blades seem to actually do the best I have found
@@Primetime_Fescue Thanks! no need to waste money on something that doesn't have a positive impact.
