  • #highspeeddining This incredible $430 tasting menu meal started with delicious, pretty one biters. Courses got bigger as the meal progressed. By meals end over 20 dishes were served at the chefs counter. It's easy to see why The Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare in New York City is considered one of the World's best restaurants.

    Thanks! I was hesitant if I was going to book for my next NYC trip (I’ve been 10 years ago), but this decides it. I’m going.

      It’s a great meal. Just an FYI the Wagyu beef was an add on that costs a few extra bucks but still a solid meal without it.

    I respect the work the chefs put in and it taste great. You really don't get a lot of food for 499.00$ . Did u eat at another place after ?

      Glad it's working for you. I'm going to try and do long form videos like this combining every course (short videos) for my entire trip to NYC. Every 3 and 2 Michelin star restaurant in the state of New York. Lots of fun videos coming with plenty of behind the scenes stuff too.

      Thanks. I just had another meal at Jont last week too. I wish there were more hours in the day to get more work done. Gonna be focusing on NYC stuff for a while but you never know. Appreciate the comment. 🙏

      Yep. These tasting menus with lots of rounds of food end up nice size meals and can take 3-4 hours.

    How much was this tasting event?

    • @HighSpeedDining
      @HighSpeedDining  Před 4 měsíci

      Their current tasting menu runs $430 per person before tax and tip but when I went it was more like 360 or 390.

    my only issue is the amount of caviar, regardless of how much i enjoy it, it gets boring and repetitive. i don’t care about justifying price w perceived luxury, creativity is worth the price as well. a lot of tasting menus all read the same now. mini tart amuse, uni toast, langoustine, chawanmushi w something in it etc.. the list goes on and on. fine dining shouldn’t be a thing where every menu is a riff on everything everyone else is doing. it should be the expression of the view point of the chef/restaurant. instead it seems like it’s “here’s our version of what u had at that one place on the other side of the world that serves something very similar” there’s a point where it seems like chefs are hiding what they really want to make and eat. they don’t eat caviar on their days off, i am more interested in what they are interested in, not what restaurants they follow.

    For a 3 star restaurant, the dishes with caviar in them, it looked like it was just plopped on there with no care

    If your going to be the one to make video content. Please Learn how to use your Phone or Camera First. Do not upload stuff that is shot in the Portrait mode. Holy cow, how annoying it is to try and view. Nice try. But Please learn your equipment. wow. Other than that. very nice place. And by the way, being invited at a chiefs table. Is the ultimate honor in the food world. I have been to the West 37th street location. Man, what an experience. Thank you for sharing.

      I post mostly to Tiktok, Instagram and CZcams shorts which is portrait mode. I’ve got over 1.2 million followers there so clearly I know what I’m doing. One day when I have a team and stop doing all the recording editing and everything else myself I’ll start shootings in landscape mode. Appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

    This menu is so uninspiring and predictable. Wagyu from Japan, Hokkaido uni, caviar caviar, Norwegian lobster, California quail, foie gras…

      I agree with you it’s the standard top of the line foods and dishes but the restaurant had earned three Michelin stars for many years. Clearly they were doing it better than almost everyone else. But agreed, it’s ingredients as “expected” at a three star place.

    3:07 beluga caviar. Who cares about Russian trade restrictions during war times right?

    • @HighSpeedDining
      @HighSpeedDining  Před 14 dny

      While beluga caviar is produced in Russia, most beluga caviar is not produced in Russia. This is not Russian caviar. Google it and then come back and thank me for helping educate you. You’re welcome. I know because I googled it too when the another person made the same claim.
