I like this version of Scott Hall better, clean cut, straight forward, putting people in their place, seeing things from a fans pov. Don't get me wrong, his Razor Ramon/NWO Scott Hall was great but I enjoyed this one a bit more.

I watched that on ESPN classics a while ago if I'm not mistaken. Looking back, I like the AWA because it emphasized actual mat wrestling more so than a lot of the cartoon gimmicks of the WWE at the time. WWE did bring some very athletic matches at the time but I could do without a lot of the cartoon elements.

His promo in '87 sounds a bit like the promo in '96 when he mentions about wrestling him and not trash talking when he confronted Eric Bischoff, in his announce table. The foreshadowing on what was to come of Scott Hall's, wrestling career 9yrs. later that changed everything in WCW.
