Jordy actually leg catches Farhan a couple of times but lacks the foot hooking technique to drop him without pushing him over so continues to foul. Farhan is telegraphing his moves pretty obviously with his raised toes front foot technique.
Silat Fan TV watching this a few times now I think two things. Farhan is technically a more 'pure' Silat fighter for sure. Jordy gets penalised early on but then I feel gets some rough decisions from the referee. You see his corner protest at one stage rightly so. But his punches also to my eye come from outside usual Silat with him driving from above the shoulder downward and the ref also cautions him for this. But I like how Jordy is prepared to engage in exchanges. Brave.
Jordy sure got the speed as always. As for farhan, he is slightly less nimble compare to 2017 duel. Still congratulation to farhan and keep up the good work jordy.
Anacey Ismail good looking stance. Not too wide but come with a cost , his lock is not strong , still nicely utilized. He could expand his arsenal a bit more and he will be unstopable. Nice Video as always Skardar1 ❤
Under new rules that throw at minute 6.40 is valid and legal. Demit, the throw is smooth as fuck ! This Jordy fella is the real silat fighter than any malays could ever be.. huge respect from silat fighter in Malaysia!
James C well thats the problem with this silat tournament. It doesnt represent real life situation and limit the technique the martial art it self teach. Silat have a lot of unique technique from all different region but they made it taekwondo type of macth
Reyner Cihendarto All modern day competitive combat sports have to simplify techniques from their traditional roots. You’ll find this in Karate, taekwondo, Wu Shu, boxing competitive matches - all restrict forms of combat, even UFC to a certain extent. Traditional silat, like other forms of traditional martial arts, will teach you how to defend yourself in a street scenario, so kicking to the groin, going for the throat, joint manipulation, striking of joints etc... all techniques you wouldn’t be able to do in most combat sports...
Silat Fan TV thats not the point im trying to make. This set of rules just make silat looks like taekwondo when actually my teacher always taught me variate puch and kick (that actually worked in various street fight i've been in) but this rules just limit the moves up to : T kick, guntingan, sapuan, and basic takedown. Silat teaches more than just that but you cant use that in a tournament because of the rules. I think mma rules (with safety gear and silat technique of course) would be suitable for a silat macth because silat is an all around martial art and to limit that to T body kick and guntingan is a shame. With that i'd like to see silat being used at it full potential at the highest level.
Reyner Cihendarto have you ever stepped in a ring or any competitive combat matches before? Comparing a street fight with a combat sport is not a worthwhile comparison to be made. To many variables. You are essentially stating the obvious.
I may be Indonesian and yeah like you know Indonesian is really not good at English language, speaking or listening so don't overproud that Malaysian can be do what we can't do, don't provocator each other

Damien Storer thanks for the detailed analysis Damien. Do you think that’s what cost Jordy the fight? The illegal takedowns?

Demanding Being he must look how al jufri down the opponent... he got lots chances to do that.
Thank Dad
Jordy need to improve his defense. Dont let opponent kick your body freely
best
klo saya hitung poin masuk msih menang merah, cuma wasitnya trlalu tgas ngasih peringatan .
Wkwkwk kok menurut saya memang banyak poin yang biru ya ???
Cool
Ну тут Бельгиец однозначно победил!
not fairplay should win the red corner, slam 2x and reprimand once, and red corner kicks and punch more in than blue, so not fairplay
6:42 what makes the sweep invalid?
After 6 attack must stop , stop not mean stay but must have stay away and avoid punching like a bear
A little lousy decitions there for the wasit..
Where's the sounds sir?
Because they are Indonesian, so it's quiet.
Big n too heavy. Try enrol for MMA Fights.
Jagoan yg merah nih
Red one has low sportsmanship.. He only wants to show that he's stronger and better.. Thus thats why he losses
Silat punya indonesia
Point merah lebih banyak tapi malah berat sebelah ke biru ahh yasudah
how that blue fighter can win?????
In new rule, that's droping is legal
wasitna nte hideng

The RED one, the winner..
yeaa,if theres no penalties on him, he would be the winner
Where is all the fancy technique.... its gone because it doesnt work. They are throwing basic front and side kicks with straight punches...
Define Basic ... have you stepped into any combat ring yourself James? Speaking from experience?
