Raistlin....he never proclaimed to be benelovent.... yet he always was honest to himself of his desires his wishes...
the one to ever rise and from the agony tear asunder the very gods whom shaped the world making it the crucible in wich he where forged..
and where others in blindness became consumed by roles or positions through life...he where not..
this makes me wish i could recall the precise way the dragon lances not just ended but the epiloges about ther characters to..
sadly the last things i recall reading about that universe.... i ever adore the deepth of ther characters yet the way the last bits i recall reading was just..ruthlessly... lifelike about some stuff makes me hesitant to try dive back into it ,bessides cant spend ones hole life staying up to day on fables no matter how good they are ^^
also...0:44 imagen being a citizen of a faction and society that ruled all your known world...to stand in the center of it ,the most opulent of capitals..at the height of its power...
and watch how the forces upon wich you built your strengt turn agenst you...about to scorch not just the mega city your in from the planet surface ,but to sunder the very continents ,seas and purge every shard of your society from it no matter what scars it leaves.
omfg i love raistlin! have read the books time and time again and, call me silly, he is my idol. i've had a rough childhood as well and i've always dreamed of attaining power such as his. i know it is impossible and that is why i will always know i have an idol unsurpassed
I just wrote in "wishmaster" and "dragonlance" and hoped such a clip would exist. This song completely describes Dragonlance and Raist.
And Tolkien
I think this song is about Raistlin's apprentice, Dalamar.
Just look at this verse.

Raistlin never call someone like that, in the other hand, Dalamar always called Raistlin his "Shalafi"
The song is more of a love letter to Dragonlance, Tolkien and other fantasy stories from Toumas. More than once have he expressed his love for the genre, (and especially Dragonlance), so this is a lot like "Elvenpath".. where more Tolkien is represented, along with Finnish mythology/folklore and Forgotten Realms.
Normally i don't like crossover incidents. Like when Lord Soth appeared on the 3th book. But this sounds so great. My favourite books are the Silmarillion and the Dragonlance Chronicles so this means a lot to me.
Raistlin is by far the most LIVING and facinating character there have ever been in
a phantasy book and when he died I became so
sad and depressed that I did not read the books
again for many years and still today I choose
to belive that he really became a god when he
left with Paladine in the end of the chaos-books,everything else is just to painfull for me to think.

I love Dragonlance so much that I tatooed in my arm and chest the fight between Raistlin(Chest) and Fistandatilus (Left arm).
hehe:D ive heard that song like a million times but ive never really listened to the lyrics:D but now that i have, two really great things in my life have been mixed to a type of "thing of l33tness" nightwish and dragonlance in one thing.... omg....

that part does seem to point to dalamar, i'll give you that. but take a look at the line:
"Sla-Mori the one known only by Him"
Sla-Mori is the pathway underneath pax tharkas that only raistlin and the companions know. so that part points to raistlin. and i do believe it possible for raistlin to know elvish and could have been talking about his confrontation with Fistandantulus
@katkunra yes he did,and even though some people claim he did not become a god,I have allways belived
he did,only god's have constellations and in the end of the chaos books he leaves with Paladin and I think
you have to be a god to enter their realm.
And one thing is for sure,I wil allways worship him and that makes him a god I think.

He becomes a god and as long as we keep loving and remembering him his power is eternal.
I don't car about what some people say,when he leaves with Paladin,he enters the realm of the gods,and only a god can do so.

@Heartborne7thSeeker Hmm it's been a long time since I read the books (and played the crpgs) I thought he did manage to become a god (didn't he get the hourglass constellation in the sky annd clerics could pick majere to worship) but he did fail to destroy Takhisis. Hey maybe it was Fistandilitus that died finally ;)

I just finished 10 books of dragonlance, and I must say; I doubt there's many books I could call that good.
Perhaps; Dune and Forgotten Realms, but I'll see.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through Time of the Twins. After the legends trilogy, which Dragonlance books did you go onto next?
@@Ryan_Thompson_Guitarist Afterwards I read DragonLance Legends, I read Dragons of Summer Flame, I believe, and then read The War of Souls Trilogy, though I am pretty sure I missed a group of books before that.
But that is the order I've read them in.

@dartxp1 he isn't considered ugly, he just has a weird appearance (with the golden skin and hourglass eyes) which just shocked people...
This sounds amazing. Why do videos like lil pump "I love it" have a billion views and yet this material, clearly created by very talented people, has a few thousand? It really astounds me.
its funny, because Raistlin himself would never take up such a limited way to learn magic, he devotes himself to the power.

that I had NEVER read the CHAOS-books because
they are really sad and kind of kills of everything I had come to love and the books
about the children of the original characters
are not very good I think.But the books that
takes place before the Lance wars are quite
good I think especially the 2 where Flint and
Tanis meet and Flint goes to the Elf-realm.

@Heartborne7thSeeker Am I the only one that believes characters are the best when they die? I adore Raistlin, but that is also because of his death, not only his life. He didn't become a god, but he WAS finally at peace, until he was needed as the plot device and finally moved on after Takhisis' death.

Elbereth and Lorien are elven names in Tolkien's "Lord of the rings"and "Silmarillion" and have NOTHING to do with Dragonlance... just saying...
This song is compilation of different fantasy novels.
But Shalafi, Silvara, Starbreeze, and Inn of the Last Home are all from Dragonlance. The song references both LotR and DL.

Still it could have been Raist calling to his old master or the one who lived technically inside of Raist.

It's best to stop reading them after the Twins trilogy anyway, because after that they go and screw everything up.
why does raistlin is considered ugly i mean he looks handsome in the pictures
he is less ugly, but more scary - his skin changed colour into pale if i recall correctly, aand his eye pupils changed shape; he also speaks in a very rustling voice
