Playing Golden Axe, I preferred the chicken mount's tail whip attack over the large dragon mount's fire breath attack.
It was a faster attack and more accurate.
Private Thunderhead! Now there's a soldier who blows expectations!
I love the chicken thing he is more iconic than the dragons for me
I'm trying to collect all the figures, I also love the Chicken Leg because of how goofy they are, as well as being a reference to the Altered Beast series of games

I wish that he would have come with a lightning bolt accessory, but it's no deal-breaker for me. When I was younger, I played "Golden Axe" at the arcade more than any other arcade game, and Gilius Thunderhead was always my favorite character to play. I was an A+++ player (highest score) using just one quarter! The rideable monster is called "Chicken Leg" (aka Cockatrice) and it was the first rideable monster in the game, so I myself like it. This goofy looking monster first appeared in the Sega Genesis game "Altered Beast", so it's nice to have for a retro video game collector, like myself. I like how the Gilius figure turned out, but I'm not crazy about how you can easily see the hinge joints on the front arms, and especially the back legs. The biggest gripe that I have with him is that his beard looks a little too short. Oh well, it's still a nicely made figure. :)

I am a Golden Axe fan since childhood always played Gilius and I wished for figures from this series for a long time. Unfortunately they came at such a terrible timing in my life. Hopefully one day I can atleast snatch Gilius and Chicken Leg. I do feel there is something off about either Gilius size or chicken legs proportion. But I can't put my finger on it.

Finally someone had enough of Darwin's nonsense. I have been really enjoying the reviews of these that you have been doing. It's very apparent when there is a good figure (fun) and a marvel legend.

This dwarf is more modestly dressed than the other two playable characters, but he, too, does not wear any pants. I wondered what he wore underneath: boxers, briefs or nothing at all? Thanks for showing us in this review.
If I was going to go in on these, it’d just be the heroes. They’re the main game for me.
Particularly Gilius. He was my favorite to play as.
In fact, this review has made me consider just getting him. He looks great. And I think it’s be funny to have a dwarf be the same size as marvel characters.
Fun fact; in the arcade game, Gilius is the one that carries the Golden Axe.

You need to at least get Death Adder. Gilius gave his life to kill Death Adder at the end of the game!!!!
Wish they added the magic potions they use when they use their spells in the games. Maybe some of the magic effects they did...
Gilius is my favorite in the line so far. I picked up Death Adder in addition to the hero characters, not sure if I'll go any deeper. Would be interesting to see a review of him since he's so much larger and on a seamless body. He's a beast, towers over everyone else.
This a franchise that I have no intrinsic connection to. The figures are definitely well made and represent their characters well.
If I had some money to burn, I would get those Golden Axe figures.

This game was a vey big part of my childhood. I can't help but get the three main characters and the villains as well.
Death Bringer was actually the first one I got when Bluefin put it on sale. I'd say you should at least get whichever Death Adder variant looks best to you (although I'll be honest, I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the "seamless" joints on it. I really don't even understand the point on a figure like that). I honestly don't really care about the villains past that.
I like the hero characters but it's the villains I'm really excited about! I've got Death Adder, a bunch of skeletons including the GA3 Dead Frames, and eagerly awaiting my preordered Bad Bros and Heninger/Longmoan. I really hope they will do the Hell Lizards and Minotaurs from GA2! The skeletons are still the most fun figures Storm has made in my book, so I'm looking forward to more "simple" army builders in the future. Golden Axe is pretty much turning into my favourite Storm line so I'd be more than happy to see them go real deep and milk the license for all it's worth.
I'd get almost anything from Golden Axe if almost any company other than Storm Collectibles made them. $20-$40 per figure and I'd be in.
I’m completely ignorant in anything regarding Golden Axe but these are some awesome figures.
I wish he came with an alternate face that looked more like the artwork. Other than that its a fantastic release
I suddenly want to plug my sega genesis now and replay Golden Axe.
Out of the heroes this is the only figure I wanted, but at the moment I only a pair of dread frame skeletons and the pink ones.
Death Adder is actually the figure from this line I'm most interested in. Any villain with a cool helmet is a win.
Awesome figure and great review. I used to play as him all the time in the game simply because he was harder to hit haha. The goofy creature he rides on kinda reminds me of the Graboids 2nd form from the Tremors 2 film. I'd love to see you review the villains as well

Hey can you make a video about different painting techniques and when to use them? I’d like to get into customizing and you seem like the best at it.
I'd pick these up if money wasn't an issue; only Storm Collectibles I'm buying in the near future are the Fatal Fury characters from the King of Fighters line (Blue Mary, Geese Howard, and Mai Shiranui). Having to be more selective these days, and FF has always been my favorite. Great review as always, thank! 😎👍

He should have gotten some lightning effects to go with him (since that was his special), but overall, glad to hear that he, along with his in-game brethren, turned out better than okay!

got a per order in for a bad brother, and the two pack Henn and Long moan, i already have 4 skeletons and 4 of the weird looking skeletons and i got the Red death adder. will most likely stop with that.
I like to have some villains to go along with a franchise's heroes. To be honest, I find it strange that there are so few Sentai/Kamen Rider villains to find when compared to the deluge of main cast figures.
So yeah, at least get Death Adder so the heroes have someone to fight (aside from the two skellington boys Ax Battler came with)

So the rubbery chest of storm collectibles, do you you think they will degrade over time and fall apart?
I have some of the older ones from the mk line, and honestly it seems okay. Mine are lasting so far.
I don't think so. They're pvc as far as i can tell.

The purple chicken isn't a very traditional type of creature, but that's actually why I like it. It comes off quite unique. And I say go ahead with Death Adder, but thats a good place to stop for a mini collection maybe.

I really love Chicken Leg, it's very unique and I always kind of saw it as the iconic mascot Golden Axe creature. I believe it's based a bit on a cockatrice if I remember correctly.
@@AnthonysCustoms This Thunderhead action figure is so accurate to the original design (which also matches the sprite), it makes you wonder who in the right mind would have to change his design constantly. I would love to see this be turned into a 3D model so people can make "Sonic: the Hedgehog for Hire" jokes.
