Late to this, but as a heads up, 126dB VS 121dB is not "not that far off"
The dB scale is logarithmic, and adding 3dB means that the output gets twice as loud. So the 5dB difference between the two translates to the bigger one being almost 4x louder

@alchemist You are mixing up your terms here. 3db increase is double the amount of wattage needed and its called sound intensity. A 6db increase is a doubling of the RMS voltage and it is called sound pressure. Right around 10db is double the perceived volume increase, which is psychoacoustically what a human feel is twice as loud. Which in this case with a 5db difference would be perceived as a 50% increase in loudness to the human ear. There is a great article explaining this with further explanations and a great graph showing the relationship of how these 3 factors correlate. Search for sengspielaudio Loudness volume doubling.

@@tortelini87 correct with your reply. I think I learned it as 3dB is noticeable. 6dB is the same perceived loudness but at twice the distance and 10dB as twice as loud.

Sound power is usually expressed using the logarithmic decibel (dB) scale chosen to accommodate human loudness perception. Increasing sound intensity by 10 dB is perceived as an approximate doubling in loudness but represents a tenfold increase in sound power.

Bud let me tell you. My parents can’t stand that neighborhood. I BS you not like 3 different parties go on every weekend backyard, across the street and let backyard two houses to the left. Just heard the bass nonstop lol. and they live down the way from fairgrounds and they can heard the bass and music during weekend events 😂

Hi all, regarding the dust proof/ dirt repellent. My Gen 3 has both woofers blown, because of being used on the beach so often (daily), when theres some wind sand can get into the screen in between the handles and into the speaker cones/voice coils and over time both needed replaced. So for those using in dusty/sandy environments I now put a nylon leotard stretchy material over the screen to keep the sand out (the sand where I am has metal particles in it so is attracted to the magnet aswell which doesnt help)
Good advice. I’m looking to get the 3 and will likely play on beaches. Where do you get your nylon material or what do you use for this?
I bought nylon knee highs and cut to size.

Hey bud! These are awesome speakers. I have 2 soundboks 3s and a Soundboks go and I run them wireless together and wow! I have actually put a microphone on the host speaker and Bluetooth my table and did a birthday party in a basketball gym. They were playing soccer so they were loud. LOL and I was using only one soundboks 3 and the go on top of the 3 and everyone was impressed. We were shaking the walls and you could hear it out side. So yes sir these things are awesome! And the app with the pro panel makes it a killer portable pa system.

I was not disappointed with ordering this speaker.
Which one to buy? Either one is a win. Great battery powered speakers that are pretty loud. My only complaint is the lack of deep bass, punchy bass is there, but wished it was deeper. I used it as a monitor during a DJ gig and the battery on the Gen 3 only lasted me about 3-4 hours at max volume before it died on me. Yes, I like it loud and used it as a 3rd speaker/monitor at a party. Still not near as loud as my loudspeakers, but it’s getting there. Most of my gigs are at least 6 hours….Soundboks….please get it to 6 hours battery life at max volume with bass+. Hopefully on the gen 4. Great video. Thanks Pare! Love all the tracks you play.

@@tychaplin7673 for the price of $1000 for the speaker, they should include a more powerful battery. Carrying extra batteries is stupid. Might as well bring a generator or just plug it in.

Keep in mind the times that you do run these suckers in battery is because there is no sockets to plug them in..

THE SOUNDBOKS 3 CAN NOT BE PLAYED FULL VOLUME EXCEPT FOR OFF THE BATTERY. MEANING YOU CANT JUST PLUG IT INTO THE WALL AND MAX IT, IT WILL SHUT OFF. THIS TO ME IS A HUGE DESIGN FLAW. I GET ITS MEANT TO BE PORTABLE, BUT THE IDEA THAT THE SPEAKER CAN NOT BE USED PAST 5 VOLUME WHILE CHARGING, OR WHILE PLUGGED INTO THE WALL, AND ONLY OFF OF A FULL CHARGE BATTERY IS WILD.
Probably due to stringent legislations / laws. It’s an outdoor speaker after all and they don’t want people abusing the power indoors. I’m well aware it makes no sense and it sucks, since it could easily handle the volume effortlessly.
My gen 2 is plugged in charging all the time with the battery goes full blast love it

These speakers are amazing. The sound so good and crystal clear. The one down fault I hear mostly is that ppl wish it was more bassy. They are not wrong it’s mid and high focus with real good but not amazing bass. But man this so good it will be the start of your part if have get togethers

The sound that comes out of this speaker is amazing it will not fail. It’s so loud they will hear you for sure 👍🏾.

Yes that is true the bass is not crazy on these
121 to 126 is a huge difference. It's not up 5 one decibel is like a square of the the number so more like 5 squared louder.

Im new at this & have many questions.
I haven’t got the speaker delivered yet, but I'm nervous because i just bought the new Gen 3 big speaker online, but because of all the bad reviews of their SOUNDBOK GEN3 APP that i just read about after just purchasing earlier today, it makes me wonder if i made a mistake buying?
Can this speaker run without the app at full bass and volume & performance function levels without the app??
And if it cant, Wish it had all manual controls on the speaker itself as an option??, rather than having to go thru an app with all the quirky problems & reviews of only a 2.9 star rating overall of hundreds of comments with problems that i spent the nite reading about?
Seems That would solve alot of problems if it had all the manual capabilities on both the speakers itself and the app, just in case of the app being dysfunctional?

Bought the Go and thinking of returning it for the 3 or possibly the partybox 310. The Go just doesn’t have the bass I want.

@@ZmannR2 music that you download has an efect on speaker perfomance too make sure your songs are music remastered from 70s 80s 90s need to be remastered these speakers are quite sensitive to that This should help a great deal

No good unless you can use them plugged in for non stop use. I can't stand battery only speakers, I just made my own 4-15s with 12 tweeters and 6 -8s and it either plugs in or if you want really loud you hook it to a battery that's on a charger lol good enough it will shake my entire 4 Acer field lol
When I say hook it to a battery I mean multiple lol I use 4 and there all on chargers atleast until I finish the homemade super power supply that can handle the amps connected to the box
